Our Villa. Villa de Lavendre, is a new, traditional-style two-bedroomed Villa with use of a superb shared large swimming pool within the small secure development known as Coteaux de Moliere.

The Villa is ideal for families and sleeps up to 6. The Villa has an open plan living/dining area with a fully equipped kitchen including oven, microwave, electric hob and washing machine and tumble drier together with a dishwasher. The living/dining room has patio doors opening out onto the large terrace where you will find a table and chairs, sun loungers and the all important barbecue.

Inside there is a dining table and chairs and a double sofa bed. You will also find a colour television, Video/CD/DVD player with a satellite tv enabled for Sky freeview and board games.

On the first floor there is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. There is also a fully tiled bathroom with fully fitted shower and sink basin with a seperate wc and sink unit.,

The development overlooks and is within easy walking distance of the historical town of Pezenas which is nestled between Beziers and Montpellier and close to the beautiful sandy Mediterranean coast. The Herault area is also the centre of the largest wine-producing area in France and vineyards and local wine are literally all around.

If you are looking for a small slice of Mediterranean French life either as a couple or as a family in convivial surroundings and near to restaurants, shopping, the beach and historical sites, this is the place for you, although, ideally you will need a car to see all the attractions of the Languedoc area.

The property is adjacent to Villa des Fleurs, which we co-own and is also available for rental under villarenters reference 11538 and may suit two families travelling together.
 

 

 

The villa comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the Lounge area. This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use.

The villa has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, a fridge, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

This is a non-smoking villa

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a west facing patio area, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming, walking.

Close to the villa you will find cycling, tennis, a sports center, historic sites, a museum, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find a beach, sailing, boat hire, horse riding, golf, a theatre/cinema, a themepark.

Matthew says: "Myself (29), my wife (28) and our 2 children (2 and 3) stayed in the villa during the latter half of May. The villa was clean and tidy with all the mod cons from home (british sky, dishwasher, washing machine etc) With the two kids it was great, they had a room to share with two beds in. I am always a bit aprehensive with holidays and taking the kids as you never know what facilities are nearby, especially to occupy younger children. The development has a secure entry and exit with the same to the pool entrance. As the pool is shared I expected to see lots there, but it was really quiet. The pool is not heated so you really brace yourself getting in, but the kids loved it. And when the sun is intense, it is a welcome relief. The villa has a nice patio area outside with furniture, so you can eat outside and we enjoyed a few BBQs! I would recommend having a car for at least a few days as the supermarkets are mostly out of town, and you would struggle to walk. Unless you went to the town for groceries. The town of Pezenas is very pretty and just a 10-15 minute walk to the centre. There are many old little roads to explore in the centre that are typically french style, the real part of france. The nearest beach is about 20 minutes by car at Vias, I would recommend picking up a visitors map at the airport so that you have the general locations. There are also some some nice places at le Cap de Agde and Sete. You can also explore in the mountains and see le Lake de Salagou which is very nice, a must for watersports enthusiasts. If you fancy a bit of history you can also take the 2 hour (approx by non-motorway) trip to Carcassone. This is the town with another town within it's castle walls. It's very impresive. Enough of the sightseeing tour, but I would recommend this for a nice visit to france. The couple who manage the property were also really helpful. As we have not used villarenters before, we did not know what to expect, but the description was accurate."
