A comfortable 1 hour's drive from Lisbon airport the Villa is located within the Praia D'el Rey Golf and Country Club on Portugal's West coast. The 200 hectares resort of Praia D'el Rey is set within a region of outstanding natural beauty renowned for its windmills, rolling hills, majestic coastline of indented bays, sheltered beaches, wonderful seafood, restaurants and delicious wines.

There is a small shop on site which stocks most basic items whilst the nearest supermarket is less than 10 minutes by car in Sierra del Rey. Larger shops can be found in Obidos, less than a 10 minute drive, the fishing port of Peniche, some 15 minutes drive, or Caldas with its daily market selling all types of fresh produce in addition to major supermarkets and the other shops that you would expect in a market town.

The nearby medieval town of Obidos is considered to be one of the jewels of Portugal's national heritage and has many small shops within its walls selling local and some not so local handicrafts in addition to some nice places to eat.

There is much to interest a visitor beyond the obvious attraction of the golf and tennis. There are water sports on the Obidos Lagoon, Horseriding nearby, Surfing at nearby Baleal, Skin Diving in Peniche, Go-Karting in Bombaral, or perhaps just sampling the Natural beauty walking along the beach or in the forests. The historic towns of Obidos and Sintra are both worth as visit as is the bustling City of Lisbon or the pilgramage site at Fatima to name but a few.

Clube Adventura on site offers activities for those aged 6 to 16 including Quad Biking, Paintball, Archery, Beach Games and Surfing. Some of these are available also for older groups.

For the ladies the hotel offers a Spa with a range of body treatments, facials, pedicure, manicure, massages and hairdressing.

A visit to Portugal would not be complete without eating out and in addition to the clubhouse and the Marriott Hotel on site there is a wealth of restaurants within a short drive. For those who do not want to drive a taxi at reasonable rates can of course be easily arranged. We supply a list of restaurants that we have enjoyed as a guide.
 

Praia Del Rey Golf and Country Club is set in some 600 acres. With an on site 5 star hotel and direct access to miles of uncrowded beaces there are few resorts that can rival it. Our villa is set in its own private garden off the main road the passes through the resort and is generally very quiet. A trip to Obidos lagoon is a must and there are beach locations on this earth that can rival it. The development of Praia Del Rey is about 8 years old and new buiding in generally confined to the far end of the resort.

The spacious 4 bedroom villa is our family second home and as such is furnished to a high standard and fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Our local manager is located on site and included in the rental is Clean Towels Twice per Week, Clean Bedlinen Weekly, Daily Visit to Tidy and Clean Bathrooms and Kitchen. Services of "on-site" English Speaking Representative

The "Silver Coast" of Portugal is yet to be fully developed as a tourist area and you can still enjoy the real Portugal with its fantastic food, great wines and very friendly people in a clean and safe environment.

There are restaurants both in the clubhouse and in the Marriott Hotel but to really saviour what the area has to offer then you only need to travel 10 to 15 minutes from the villa to find some fantastic restaurants at prices that are distant memories in the UK.

A car is pretty much essential if you are going to make the most of your stay and driving is a pleasure with the very low levels of traffic.

For those who really just want to chill our agent can arrange collection from the airport, taxis to restaurants and also provide provisions.

The villa comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 2 twin, 4 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 4 bathrooms and 5 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds. Recreational activities available with the villa include a snooker/pool table, table tennis.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.
