The property is superbly located on one of Portugals best golf courses (Quinta do Peru), enjoying great views over the Arrábida Mountains National Park. Quinta do Peru was recently ranked 57th out of the top 100 European golf courses and yet is still a well kept secret. It is unusual when playing to have anyone else in sight, its that quiet! The Quinta do Peru Golf Course offers amateurs a pleasant game, whilst also presenting a challenge for professionals. It was voted amongst the top 10 courses in Portugal in the biennial poll organised by the European Golf magazine. The course´s recognised quality has led to its hosting several events from the European challengeTour.
There is a clubhouse with a bar and restaurant, 2 driving ranges and a pro shop. The resort itself is a mixture of leisure facilities and luxury villas, surrounded by trees, lakes and wild flowers, providing an idyllic lifestyle for permanent residents, holidaymakers and visitors. Other restaurants, bars, supermarket, shopping approx. 3 Km. The nearest town is Quinta do Conde and Azeitão is also close. This area is famous for its wines and Muscatel. The Figueirinha and Portinho da Arrábida beaches are 15 minutes away, Meco and Lagoa de Albufeira 20 minutes. Lisbon airport is 35 minutes away and Lisbon town centre 30 minutes. Setúbal is 20 minutes away.
 

Azeitao is 30 kms south of Lisbon over the old bridge, the 25th of April. The new bridge, Vasco de Gama opened in 1998, guarantees a 1/2 hour journey to Lisbon airport and really opened up this area.
The new motorway down to the Algarve and the recently opened Fertagus railway line that operates from Setubal past Quinta do Conde (Coina) into the heart of Lisbon in 20 minutes have also played their part in making this area an unspoiled and uncongested alternative to the Cascais, Estoril, Sintra North side area with its golf courses. Of the 5 other local golf courses, Quinta do Perú is highly rated.
Sesimbra is 20 minutes away and is the arquitypal Portuguese fishing village with some of the best fish restaurants around. If you like your fish and enjoy value for money, you can eat quality fresh fish in Setubal for as little as €5 a head.
Evenings out in Lisbon are a must. Its only 25 minutes door to door if you get the timing right. Lisbon is the most wonderful city.

National Park of Serra da Arrábida. The poet Sebastião da Gama issued a cry of alarm against the devastation of the forests in the Serra da Arrábida, thereby causing the scientific community to become concerned about their conservation. This all took place in 1948 and gave rise to the formation of the longest-standing Portuguese environmental association, the Liga para a Protecção da Natureza (Nature Conservation League).
In fact, Arrábida amounts to a special slice of the Mediterranean in the Atlantic Ocean and is one of the points where the Portuguese sea can be seen at its most splendid. Covering an area of 10,821 hectares, the park is situated between the fishing village of Sesimbra and the city of Setúbal. It forms a rectangle running parallel to the sea and includes the Serra do Risco, Serra de São Luís, Serra dos Gaiteiros and Serra do Louro. The Serra do Risco represents the highest point on the Portuguese mainland coast. Here, there is a magnificent cliff that stands sheer above the sea at a height of 380 metres and provides an unforgettable panoramic view over the Atlantic.
This meeting between the mountains and the sea has given rise to a string of small hospitable beaches, from Outão to Portinho da Arrábida, and passing through Figueirinha, Galapos, Ingleses and Coelhos. These beaches are of the kind that one would only expect to find in Mediterranean paradises, each bathed by crystal-clear waters.
Overlooking the beach of Portinho da Arrábida is the Fort of Nossa Senhora da Arrábida. Here, you can find the oceanographic museum, which provides valuable information about the fauna and flora of this entire region. Throughout this area, there are a large number of animal and plant species rarely found elsewhere on the Portuguese coast. Attention is drawn to the island of Pedra da Anixa, a highly important zoological reserve, valued for its sub-aquatic vegetation. There is an information centre at the park´s headquarters and several walks that you may like to try.
 

The villa has 2 living rooms, one in ground level and another one upstairs.

The villa comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 4 double, 1 twin, 4 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 2 double sofa beds located in the Bedroom and living room. This gives room for up to 14 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 4 bathrooms and 6 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television and home cinema with video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio. A computer with Internet connection is also available for your use. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Sophie says: "Is the best place ever around Lisboa to get 30 with friends and/or families. No better host than José, who is not only nice and helpful but also at least trilinguist (portuguese, english, french, and maybe more). The location is only 30 min from Lisboa, 15 min from hidden beaches, 30 min from Sesimbra cliffs and delicious fish restaurants. Youll for sure appreciate the modern and very nice decoration of all rooms, the calm place within the golf, the 2 bikes, the swimming pool (a bit cold en october however...), the full-equiped kitchen, the internet computer and connection, the 4 bathrooms... Nothing to regret at all, just to have to leave. Well be back for sure one day ! A personal and bug thank to you José. Ill remember getting 30. The Italian sparkling wine was very good ! :-) "
