Derwent Yard - Ground floor apartment.
This apartment forms part of modern urban complex of 30 units and is now nine years old. It is on the Ground floor and extremely disabled friendly with low thresholds, wide doors, low light switches etc. It is very convenient for Piccadilly Line Tube at Northfields and there are bus stops close by. Road connections are great with easy access to M4 and M1. Mainline train services can be found at Ealing Broadway. We provide a list of airport pick-up companies( Gatwick, Heathrow or Southampton) and groceries can also be purchased for you in advance of arrival.
Detailed description
You will find a large open plan lounge that runs into an ultra modern kitchen with all the appliances, utensils, crockery and cutlery that you would need - Christmas turkeys and cakes are no problem. The lounge has two sofas, one of which can be used for a sofa bed. Coffee table and dining table and chairs are alos provided. Colour TV, video, cable and DVD player are also provided in the apartment. Phone line for IN/OUT calls. Free Broadband provided via an Ethernet socket by Virgin Media - ask for an email address if you need one. Lounge is triple glazed and all bedrooms are double glazed.
Sleeping/ bathrooms
There is a large family bathroom off the hallway with bath, WC and wash hand basin. The bath has a hand rinser for hairwashing. There is a separate en-suite shower room off the twin bedroom, with shower cabinet, WC and wash hand basin. Shaver points in both and small fast electric fan heaters.
Both bedrooms overlook the pretty courtyard and gardens, alarm clocks and CD/radios as well as hairdriers provided. Extra guests use the sofa bed in the lounge.
