La Ferme des Quatres Saisons is a tranquil and spacious self-catering property in x acres near Aquitaine, in the Lot & Garonne region an hour from Bordeaux.

Situated next to a ruined 12th Century church, it is a secluded single-storey farmhouse with a 10m x 5m pool and three acres of garden, meadow and fruit trees. The house sleeps 7 in three bedrooms and has bathroom with wc, separate shower and wc.

The house is comfortable, fully furnished and well-equipped for year-round living.

In addition to the facilities at the farmhouse itself, there are many sporting, gastronomic and cultural activities within easy reach.

The Farmhouse has mature gardens including a "kitchen garden" which provides produce throughout the year.

We bought this property after a long search as it met our criteria of 1) land, 2) outbuildings, 3) near-ish neighbours, 4) good views of pretty, soft countryside.

Duras (8 kms)with its excellent facilities and one of the finest chateaux in the area.

You are in easy access to the wonderful local markets, and popular tourist attractions such as the Bastides. A car is essential.

Tennis, horseriding, cycling are available nearby.

GASTRONOMY
Whether you want to sample French food (Duck is the speciality) or go wine-tasting locally, Cotes des Marmandais and Cote de Duras. Armagnac is also very popular.

You are also 20 miles from both St Emelion and Bergerac. The area is very interesting historically, there are over 40 bastides -fortified villages many built by the the English in the 13th Century.

The farm house comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 3 double. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the living room. This gives room for up to 7 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The farm house has 1 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use.

The farm house has television video, dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. Recreational activities available with the farm house include table tennis.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The farm house is in a very quiet area. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

Close to the farm house you will find cycling, horse riding, tennis, a food shop.

The kitchen garden kept us in fruit and vegetables during the entire period of our stay - plums, peaches, strawberries, courgets, potatoes - and was still productive when we left (the pears and figs were yet to ripen). For a peaceful holiday with all conveniences, we would recommend this property wholeheartedly."
