PORTO COLOM is located on the eastern coast of the island where the coastline is a little more rocky and the fine sandy beaches are backed by pine tree woods. The town's commercial area has a number of small shops and mini-markets, a reasonable selection of local restaurants and bars and a few pavement cafés. A further selection of restaurants are scattered around the harbour. Nightlife is centered around the bars and a couple of discos.

Porto Colom was the port of the nearby town of Felanitx and is now a thriving holiday resort with a modern marina yatch club at the south end of the bay.

Nearest beach: CALA MARSAL, adjacent to Porto Colom, it is overlooked by a dramatic mountain backdrop and it features a quiet sandy beach with good watersports.

Other nearby beaches :

- S'Arenal (located on the way to Palma). It is a lively resort, very international, full of restaurants, bars and discos.

- Cales de Mallorca, is the name of a series of small caves with white sandy beaches spread along a rocky and wild coast, towards the North from Porto Colom. An ideal base for couples and families with small children. 

The villa comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 4 twin and 2 cots. . This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 3 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television satellite/cable.

There is room for 10 in the living room and 10 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this villa.

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private swimming pool, a garden, a summer house, a patio area (with heater), a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, fishing, cycling, golf, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find sailing, water skiing, boat hire, mountain biking, scuba diving, a zoo, a theatre/cinema.

Terry says: "My first views on the CA’N SARD villa is that it is either new on the market or we where the first in the villa. I’ll try to keep this brief using my past experience of other villa’s I have rented. We arrived at the villa at 03:00am on the Sunday 20th May 2007 morning, upon entering the villa which was hard to find (taxis driver had trouble following the English direction) it was very spacious and clean. One of the ground floor showers had no hot water only cold water but because the other two shower in the villa where in working order we managed to live with this. There was no kettle in the villa so making tea was like going back to the old days of boiling it in a pan first. The satellite TV seem to be only be design for German and Austria people, as out of the 857 channels only three where in English the rest where German and Austria, to change or alter the setting on the TV the instruction informed us to press certain button on the remote which we didn’t have or find. There was a safe but there was no key or code for it. We didn’t look at the pool until the following morning as it was too dark to see anything. Upon looking at the pool the following morning it was very dirty and of a dark green in colour, as it was a Sunday we couldn’t phone the pool maintenance people until the following day. When we contacted the pool maintenance people on the Monday morning they came out that afternoon and cleaned the pool (but informed us that we couldn’t us it until Tuesday morning, so that was two days without the pool). Around the pool was a small grass lawn which I guess caused the dirty and green colour of the pool water when people where getting in and out of the pool. The fencing around the pool was about three foot high and see through. The pool area had it’s own toilet and wash basin which I think it a very good idea and I haven’t seen this in other villa’s I have rented before. So small improvement to this villa will make it a really nice villa, if the owner of the villa where to supply a “Welcome Pack” to renters, which contained tea bags, coffee, a bottle of water, milk, bread would make it a nice welcome to renters who arrive at early hours in the morning when all shops are shut. Correct the hot water problem in the ground floor shower. Supply a kettle. Supply a remote for the TV, maybe get English satellite channels. Supply key or code for the safe. Change the lawn around the pool to paving stone which would keep the pool cleaner. Change the fence to make the pool area a bit more private. We noticed all these thing in the first few days so we managed to live with them. Overall this villa isn’t too bad and the area is nice a quite with a lovely beach. We paid £941 for the two weeks so it was very good value for money. We never seen anyone from the owners of the villa. If the problems mentioned above are corrected I would recommend the villa to family and friends."
