Close by are the salt lakes and regional park which offers protection to flocks of flamingos, wild life and migratory birds and is an attractive and calming area to explore using the various walkways available winding around the sand dunes and salt lakes.
A typically Spanish town with lots of activities, including water sports such as sailing, wind surfing, jet skiing, canoeing, fishing, para gliding, water skiing, boat trips, horse riding, bird watching. San Pedro has a weekly market held on a Monday which offers leather goods, clothes, locally grown produce, fish, meat, etc. There are numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. Night clubs, more bars and restaurants can be found in nearby Lo Pagan.

There are also a number of golf courses close by, Villa Martin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor and La Finca are only 15 minutes drive away and not forgetting the championship courses of La Manga.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find golf, historic sites, a themepark.

Malcolm says: "We found the villa to be clean and tidy on arrival,clean towels were ready and waiting, anda tv was supplied but was not really any good as no english tv programmes could be got on it, and reception was poor for the spanish channels. The dvd supplied came in handed and we had a good range on dvd films to look at. One thing if families stay there, there are no toys or games supplied in the villa so arrangements to entertain little ones should be taken with you. The complex pool is lovely and clean just right on hot days and we made good use of it. The neighbours are all very friendly and helpful, and a pleasure to talk to. We would recommend this villa to any couple or family who want to be central to the main attractions and beaches of that particular area. There is some building work being done in the location but nothing of any great distraction to this villa so I would like to say enjoy, its worth the money."
