The apartment is on the first floor and comprises a living room, kitchen with breakfast bar, 2 bedrooms (one double and one twin) and bathroom. The real star attraction, however, must be the huge (50m2) private roof terrace which enjoys stunning panoramic views out to sea, taking in the tower of St Elena (an old lookout tower to warn against pirates situated on the headland at the southern end of La Azohia) in one direction and the surrounding mountains behind Puerto de Mazarron in the other. The sunsets from the terrace are fantastic. On the roof terrace there are table and chairs to enjoy the al fresco experience. The flooring throughout the apartment is terracotta tiling.

The apartment is fully air-conditioned and is furnished to high standards with attractive wrought iron beds, comfortable leather sofa, some lovely hardwood furniture, home cinema system with surround sound. If you're coming with children we provide free use of a travel cot, buggy and high chair (to save taking it all on the aeroplane). We've also provided some interesting books and DVDs for you to enjoy during your stay...our aim is for you to feel pampered and very much at ease.

The apartment is new, so there is still some work going on with later phases at the back of the development, but as one reviewer recently commented, this is really of minimal impact. The debris referred to in one of the reviews has now gone. The swimming pools are now in use. Outside of working hours, the apartment is extremely peaceful with birds generally making the most noise.

The El Pinar de San Gines development is located less than 500 metres from the beach. There are 2 communal swimming pools and gardens, sports and tapas nearby with a wealth of local attractions both within the bay of Mazarron and further afield on the Costa Calida.

The Costa Calida is a fairly undiscovered part of south-east Spain. La Azohia is a totally unspoilt idyllic Spanish fishing village where tuna is still brought into the pier on a daily basis, and lies at the sheltered end of the large Mazarron bay, just 20 minutes drive away from the town of Cartagena, where Hannibal landed with his elephants. There are no large tour operators here, and even in the height of the season you will be able to find empty beaches along the coast.

Several companies fly to Alicante (1 ½ hours’ drive from La Azohia) or Murcia, San Javier (45 minutes’ drive from La Azohia), so there is always a choice of flights. These include:

Ryanair (www.ryanair.com) - regular low cost flights to Murcia from Glasgow (Prestwick), Liverpool, London (Luton), London (Stansted) and Nottingham (East Midlands).
Easyjet (www.easyjet.com) - regular scheduled services to Murcia from Bristol. Also offer flights to Alicante from Belfast, Bristol, Liverpool, London (Gatwick, Luton and Stansted), Newcastle, Nottingham (East Midlands).
Flybe (www.flybe.com) - regular cheap flights to Murcia and Alicante from Birmingham, Southampton. Also offer flights to Alicante from Exeter.
EUJet (www.eujet.com) - regular cheap flights to Murcia from Kent.
Jet2 (www.jet2.com) - regular flights to Murcia from Leeds Bradford, Manchester

It is possible to pre-book a local taxi from the airport if you don’t wish to drive. We can also arrange for a meet and greet service from either airport at pretty much any time of day.
 

Rest, relax … there is almost no pace of life in La Azohia. For the more energetic, there is swimming, windsurfing, diving at all levels, sailing, boat cruises, golf, biking, river rafting, tennis. If you need more unwinding, there is a spa at the local 4 star hotel. There is a wealth of interesting historical and geographical sites on the Costa Calida and elsewhere within the province of Murcia – salt flats, the largest lagoon in Europe, mineral mines, the oldest submarine in the world, cannon batteries, pirate lookouts, Roman and Carthaginian remains, Moorish architecture, Holy Cities, International Jazz festivals, rock concerts, fairs. The food is fantastic, the locals are welcoming and the atmosphere is so laid back you can almost hear your heart beating – well, out of season, the birds are the loudest noise.

The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the apartment cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The apartment has television and home cinema with dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The apartment is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque.

The apartment is right beside swimming, walking.

Close to the apartment you will find a beach, sailing, scuba diving, historic sites, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, climbing, cycling, mountain biking, golf, a museum.
