I am an Aussie boy that moved abroad for work. I bought this apartment with the intention of living in it myself. This apartment has all the features I wanted to enable me to live a fantastic life style.

The apartment sleeps up to 8 people. So, whether you are travelling with friends, have a family or an executive that likes SPACE (you know what I mean if you're used to those cramped Hotel rooms); you can't beat this place for value. You could be spending HUNDREDS of DOLLARS just for a SINGLE ROOM in a Melbourne Hotel.

The apartment comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 3 double, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed. This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the apartment cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The apartment has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only. Recreational activities available with the apartment include a home gym.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this apartment.

The location of the apartment means you will hear some noise, though not excessive. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a north facing patio area, a north facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views, a tennis court. If you are driving there is a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The apartment is right beside swimming, walking, tennis, a food shop.

Close to the apartment you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, flying, cycling, golf, a sports center, scuba diving, historic sites, a museum, a zoo, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a themepark, a restaurant.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find climbing, horse riding.

Anne Marie says: "Although we did feel the apartment was reasonable value for the money, it was represented as a luxury apartment and the pictures also reflected a level of comfort that was not present in the actual accomodation. We enjoyed it for its location alone, in the heart of Melbourne. The linens were not adequate for a family of four and although there were many pillows there were only pillow cases for the pillows that were on the bed! There were only two bath towels per person which we felt was very scanty because you do not come all that way to stay in doing laundry to keep yourselves in fresh towels. Also the place was cold. Even though we turned the thermostat up,only the living and dining areas would warm up. We froze in the bedrooms and bathrooms. I'm afraid we could not recommend it to our friends."

Owner reply:
I am surprised by this guests comments as I stayed in communication with them for weeks after their stay and they never indicated any dissatisfaction to me during or after their stay.

The guests left an electronic device in the apartment that I was trying to return to them in Canada. Only after they made a decision not to have it returned due to the expense of returning it did they post this unfavourable review.

I can confirm that the apartment is as described. The furnishings have been upgraded since some of the photos were taken. The apartment is described as luxury because the high quality furnishings, space and views from the apartment justify the description and many guests have commented that the apartment is "luxurious". We also have additional free services not normally supplied in an apartment or hotel such as free use of computer and wifi internet access.

The reverse cycle air-conditioning / heating systems works perfectly in the apartment. It is an advanced system that seperates heating systems in living area and bedrooms. The guests must have neglected to use the remote controls for the bedroom heating and probably left the bedrooms airconditioning on instead of heating.

The apartment is advertised as a fully self-contained unit and not a full service Hotel, this is also reflected in the low price we offer compared to Hotels. We do not claim to give daily servicing like a Hotel. Our terms and conditions state that we can give "additional" servicing for a fee but these guests never made any requests to us for any such servicing. We have never had any complaints in regards to our linen and towelling. We do have many pillows in storage for guests because they are of different firmness. Some guests are fussy about the firmness of their pillows and we wanted to accommodate as many preferences as possible. We do not expect guests to use ALL pillows in the apartment at the same time, hence they are not all covered with pillow cases.

Again, I am very disappointed that Anne Marie did not raise any of these concerns or issues with me and gave me the impression that they had a great stay. I believe this review was very unfair.
