The villa is situated outside the small village of Moncarapacho on the new Vista Elite villa development, close to Quelfes/Olhao/Tavira, 26kms from Faro airport in the very beautiful Eastern Algarve.

The villa is exceptionally spacious and set in approx one third of an acre, with lovely gardens and fully equipped pool terrace. It is fully gated and there is plenty of off road car parking. Complete with indoor/outdoor games, 2 adult and 2 childrens bikes. Table tennis in basement.

The surrounding area is rural and totally unspoilt and known for its extensive citrus and almond groves. However you are still only 30-35 minutes away from major Central Algarve attractions and 20 minutes from Faro airport.

There are some truly glorious beaches and beach islands nearby, many which are accessed by small boat/train (great fun for all the family), the closest being at Fuseta 8 kms away.

There are five golf courses all within 15-30mins, including the championship Quinta de Cima golf course, named in the 2004/05 Peugeot Golf Guide as the Best Golf Course in Portugal. There are a further 5 golf courses approx 40 mins away in Spain. There is a 9 hole par 3 course just minutes away in Moncarapacho..

Within the village of Moncarapacho 5 kms away there is an excellent supermarket, 3 minimarkets, cash machines, petrol station, pharmacy, post office, bars, some truly excellent restaurants, cyber cafes and other local shops. Moncarapacho also has an excellent museum.

Within a few kms is the wonderful town of Olhao with its fishing port, wonderful fish markets, restaurants and upmarket shopping. Dont miss the special Saturday produce market.

The villa is of outstanding executive quality with marble floors throughout, stylish furniture, air con, wonderful own glorious south facing sun terrace with 10m x 5m heated pool.

The pool terrace is fully equipped with a BBQ, sun loungers, parasols and a large table with seating for up to 8-10 people. There is also some deep shade for hotter months. Beach/pool towels provided so no need to bring your own..

This villa really is exceptionally spacious. You will not be disappointed. There are 4 very spacious bedrooms, 4 beautifully tiled and equipped bathrooms (2 are ensuite). All rooms have extensive fitted cupboards and there is a digital safe fitted in the villa. The ensuite master bedroom on the first floor has its own terrace with lovely countryside views. Bliss!!! You will fight over this one!!

The lounge / dining area is very large and comfortably accommodates 8-10 people. There is satellite TV, a DVD player which also plays CDs, a music system, supply of DVDs, an open fireplace and doors leading to the pool terrace.

The marble topped kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, kettle, coffee maker, kettle. There is a washing machine in the utility room.

There is a sturdy portable cot and a portable/folding bed in the villa, which can be placed anywhere, allowing a maximum occupancy of 9 using portable bed and a baby in the (10) . All you need to supply is cot linen.


This is a wonderful location in which to try some of the new emerging Eastern Algarve golf courses rather than queue up for hours for the busy central golf courses. It is also a fabulous location for a family holiday away from the hussle and bussle of central Algarve

There are also outstanding local beaches where you wont have to fight for space. Tavira beach only 15 mins away was voted 4th best beach in Europe (Telegraph June 2005). Explore the very beautiful and unspoilt countryside, on foot or by car. EXPERIENCE THE UNSPOILT EASTERN ALGARVE with autumn/winter temperatures from 16 degrees. Perfect!!

The area is very unspoilt and known for its citrus groves, almonds etc. The garden of Castelos is approx one third of an acre, with lots of grass for children to play on and is fully gated.

All the land around Vista Elite is protected and there are wonderful views of natural unspoilt countryside from the villa.

You will be thrilled. 

The villa is within easy distance of Tavira (regarded as the loveliest town in the Algarve), Estoi (with its Rococo palace now being developed as a poussada and Roman ruins), Olhao (fishing port, markets, excellent fish restaurants and fine shopping), Vila Real (16th century town on the Spanish border) and much much more.

From Fusetta, Tavira, Olhao and Cabanas you can travel by small boat to many truly superb offshore beach islands. Seville can be reached within 2 hours, Cordoba is 2 hrs further on, , Lisbon is approximately 2.5 hours away. The roads and motorways are excellent.

Alternatively, if yo can drag yourself away from the villa, BBQ and pool ... within 30 mins driving west you can access major central Algarve towns and attractions .... or you could just relax around the pool and enjoy doing absolutely nothing - as so many of our guests do !!

For those with quieter tastes the nearby Ria Formosa National Park offers excellent walks, extensive beaches and birdwatching.

There are some really lovely places to visit - you will not be disappointed. This is a truly unspoilt part of the Algarve. Eating out on wonderful local fish meat and wine is still surprisingly inexpensive. Why not try it for a change and experience THE REAL PORTUGAL !!

The villa comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 2 twin and 1 cots, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 single sofa bed located in the villa and can be placed anywhere. This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 4 bathrooms and 4 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this villa.

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking and a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, historic sites, a museum, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find golf, a theatre/cinema.

Allan says: "The Villa was described as a "Luxury Villa" this description doesnt even give it justice. Villa Castellos was perfect - everything and more you could ever wish for. The villa was extremely spacious and could easily cope with 10 people. The pool also the "best pool weve every had" and would love to go back. Paula and Steve were extremely helpful and very efficient. If there was one negative (and believe me you will not find many) was the fridge freezer we found that with a group of 7 it just wasnt large enough and we found it just didnt get cold. But like i say that was a very minor negative - anyone who visits the villa will have a fantastic time!!!"
