The Promenade des Anglais, was built in 1820 by an Englishman, Lewis Way, for afternoon constitutionals. Today this palm tree lined promenade is used by walkers, joggers, cyclist, and roller bladers. The promenade runs the length of Nices ocean front, approximately 7 km.

The complex includes the Residences and a 4 star+ newly restored art deco hotel and casino, Le Palais de la Méditerranée, now one of the "leading hotels of the world". The hotels façade is now a national monument and dominates the Promenade des Anglais.

Le Palais de la Méditerranée is a late 1920s building set on Nices famous Promenade des Anglais on the seafront. The decor reflects art deco design and the french rivieras gambling casino culture, with its pillars and ornate glass decoration.

Arrival Information:

When the full the rental is paid, you will be sent arrival information, giving details of our Representavive in Nice, how to make contact, full address of apartment etc. Please note there is a handling charge of €200 payable to our representative on arrival at the apartment. (This cannot be paid by credit card.) 

In a very quiet area, no traffic noise, two balconies, south & north facing, both overlooking internal private gardens. Individual air-conditioning / heating controls in the lounge and bedrooms. The system is by a central heat pump, either in ‘’Cooling’’ or ‘’Heating’’ mode. Change-over is twice a year - early summer & late Autumn, at the discretion of the local residents, based on weather conditions. New for 2009 - 42" plasma TV in the lounge. Also flatscreen TV/DVD in main bedroom & wireless broadband. Smoking is allowed on the balconies. Minimum rental period is 7 days, if there are 6 days available between two bookings, we will accept this period. Please "Make an Enquiry" if this period is available and you are interested.

The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the In the lounge. This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the apartment cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The apartment has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

There are no steps leading to the complex. Le Baccara in which the apartment is located is served by a lift, which will allow for a wheelchair. The doorways in the apartment are wheelchair accessible. Doors are 800mm wide with the front door being larger at just under 900mm. 

The apartment is in a very quiet area. It has a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, interesting views.

The apartment is right beside a beach, swimming, sailing, boat hire, walking, cycling, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Close to the apartment you will find fishing, historic sites, a museum.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find golf, a themepark.

Nightclubs and Casinos within 5 minutes walk.

Skiing in the lower Alps at Isola 2000 or Auron, excellent ski in / out facilities.
