Situated at the Northern tip of the Costa Blanca and the Southern area of Costa Azahar, you will find the busy market town of Oliva. A sweeping bay of mountains to the West and 18 kms of magnificent white sandy beaches to the East. This is without doubt the real Spain! Oliva region is situated on one of Europe´s largest subterranean lakes and the drinking water quality is excellent and abundant 

The area is steeped in history where you will be privileged to be able to live and be apart of the real Spain. Just a few minutes walk away will take you back in time as you stroll along the ancient Calle La Hoz. One of the major features is living with the Spanish culture where their love of life is reflected in their friendly, welcoming attitude towards life.
The house has been restored keeping many of the original features but offering some tranquility but with the advantage of modern day benefits. Smoking is not allowed and we ask that for your security and other guest´s comfort you do not smoke in the house.
The house is situated in a residential area, so there will be traffic noise, and during your stay you will be able to meet your Spanish neighbours.
 

You will find many of the traditional dishes in the local restaurants and of course with rice being grown in the area paella is a must to sample. For fish lovers there is a huge variety of locally caught fish and shell fish. To compliment most dishes there are excellent local wines that you can sample first at the local bodegas. In the restaurants try the menu del dia for around 10 euros for three courses. Then back to your sunny roof terrace or the beach for your well earned siesta.
You must visit the local market on Friday where locals bring their fruit and vegetables to sell at prices that you would not believe. Do not forget that you buy by the kilo or you may get more than you bargained for!!
Many of the nearby towns and villages have markets and of course fiestas. A car would be useful to get around to make the most of the area and all it has to offer. Public transport is available to travel up the coast to Valencia with all of the trappings of a large historical city.

To complement this outside living is an attractive inner courtyard with mosaic table and seating for 6. Internally this large comfortable and well furnished traditional townhouse has many lovely features. Inside the property offers all the modern amenities that we have come to expect on holiday. All bed linen and towels are provided. There is a formal dining room seating 6 people. There is a seperate suite with a double bedroom and en suite bathroom with large corner bath, just right if you need to escape yet just across the courtyard. There is a limited choice of tv programmes.

The village house comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 1 twin, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The village house has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use.

The village house has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Ray says: "Live like the Spanish in this wonderful traditional townhouse. Casa Pueblo quickly became our home away from home for 5 weeks. We were happy to find ourselves within a few minutes walk of the main through road and only a few more minutes put us comfortably on the paseo. The paseo is the centre of daily activities for the spanish lifestyle. Small stores for groceries and other food products are only minutes, by foot, from the door of Casa Pueblo. As with any residential area that does not have a front yard to distance street traffic noise you may initially be aware of the comings and goings of others. The street noise did not become a distraction and we quickly became oblivious to it. Within the comforts of this lovely spanish house it is easy to relax and enjoy the ambiance provided by the owner. The house is fully equipped and well appointed. Everything is in fine working order and the owner provides instruction booklets (if needed) on the operation of the appliances as well as notes on things to do and see in the area and transportation suggestions, if you decide not to rent a vehicle. Most days included time spent on the roof top terrace, a quiet place to relax and enjoy the daily sunshine. A place to look out at the world and enjoy your surroundings that include the blue domes of the churches, the mountains, views over rooftops to the Mediterranean and at night the magnificent view of the illuminated castle ruins. If you find it too hot to enjoy the roof you can always escape to your own personal oasis provided by the inner court yard. Restaurants, bars and pastelarias are numerous and the 'menu del dia' soon becomes a daily routine. If you are not up to the walk to the beach then the Olibus from the paseo will get you there for 1 Euro. The beach is broad, sandy and very clean. In the area are numerous facilities for lunch or a beverage as desired. "
