The property is furnished to a high spec. with leather sofas plus recliner with stool. in lounge. Combined satellite TV/VCR with many British channels including sports, kids and films; DVD player, portable CD player. A limited supply of DVDs, videos and CDs provided together with books, games, dominoes, cards, etc.

Well equipped, separate kitchen including washing machine, ceramic hob and oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron and board. Cool box, coolbag and ice blocks provided to take to beach or for picnic. Drying facilities on roof terrace and first floor terrace.

Quality dining room suite, large table seats 6 - 8 and sideboard stocked with quality china/crystal, etc.

The house has one twin bedded room on the ground floor, beside the shower-room, a further twin-bedded room and master bedroom (king size bed) on the first floor with french windows leading to a large terrace with chairs and sunbeds - a great place for a 'Sundowner.' All single beds are full (3') size.

Full family bathroom with over-bath shower also on first floor. Cot hire, high chair, toy boxes, etc. available to hire from local agency which delivers to door.

Internal staircase to second floor where there is a furnished roof terrace with wooden dining furniture (seats 6) and sunbeds. A (cold) shower is provided to cool off on warm summer days. A great place to dine al fresco on warm summer evenings and enjoy the lake views and surrounding countryside and mountains.

Further outdoor areas include a shaded porch with patio table and chairs (seats 4) and fixed, ornate stone benches and table to side of house (seats 6 - 9).
Fold-up chairs, parasol and sunbeds are provided to take to beach or pool for a great day out. 

You really can have any kind of holiday you want from this property. Suitable for a traditional family holiday, sun worshippers, or more energetic enthusiasts of the "great outdoors".

There are lots of eateries serving burgers and pizzas for the kids, tapas bars to sample the real Spanish cooking, and more sophisticated restaurants in town. A converted ranch is just a 5 minute drive, and there are traditional flamenca shows in some restaurants. A restaurant/tapas bar kitted out like a Spanish galleon is a 10 minute drive and we know a great restaurant on top of a cliff with sunset views over the Mediterranean.

Situated on the Dream Hills urbanisation, Orihuela Costa, a 5 minute drive from Torrevieja, and the nearest beach, the property is an ideal base from which to explore the Costa Blanca. The nearest shop is a few steps away and larger supermarkets are within a 5 minute drive.

For beachlovers there are miles and miles of blue flag beaches of every description, from the uninterrupted dunes north at Guardamar to the many coves to the south, and the sheltered waters of the Mar Menor. If you prefer swimming in the pool, there are two large communal pools very near the house.

Superb shopping with markets almost every day in Torrevieja and surrounding villages. Torrevieja is a bustling coastal town with a long promenade and marinas. For children there is a funfair and nightly flea market at the sea front and a water park in high season.

There are bars and restaurants within walking distance. At the nearby Los Balcones centre there are Spanish Dutch, Mexican, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Irish and English restaurants. Many excellent and unusual Spanish restaurants (including one like a Spanish Galleon and one in an underground cavern) can be booked.
There is a nearby pool complex for a family day out with entertainment at night.

The Southern Costa Blanca is a golf lover's paradise with many excellent courses within half an hour's drive. The Villamartin course is 10 minutes away. A round can easily be set up via the phone or internet prior to arrival. Please ask for details.

There is a large family bar/restaurant nearby with large pool where you can order lunch and have a swim, or have dinner and enjoy the regular evening entertainment.

To experience the real Spain there are many towns and villages in the surrounding countryside.  

Car recommended though travelling about is easy as the area has a good infrastructure. Please ask for cheap car hire details if required.

The area is served by a regular bus service to the town of Torrevieja. From there buses operate up and down the Costa Blanca, from Alicante to Murcia, Orihuela, etc. Alicante also has a railway station serving many Spanish cities including Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid.

If you want to leave the car for a 'night on the town' the caretaker can arrange a lift for up to 6 people (charge) subject to availability.
Local taxis can be called for smaller parties.

An internet cafe is a 5 minute stroll away.
