Set on a hill side, Villa Athena offers you the ideal opportunity for large parties of families and friends to holiday together while still maintaining privacy. The villa has many terraces and sitting areas to enable you to enjoy a quiet moment with a good book and a glass of wine!!
The villa has been designed so that most of the rooms have stunning views both to the sea and the mountains.
The villa has been newly furnished to a high standard. The large lounge with open fire is light and airy with a glass door leading onto the lounge balcony you can relax on the sun lounger chairs and look over to the Mediterranean, the mountains or over to the blue domed churches in Pego. If the sun gets too hot you can always wind down the awning. Off the lounge you can relax in the sun room.
The huge dining room/second sitting has a large table to accommodate 10 people, and its own sitting area. The well equipped kitchen has everything for your stay. On this same floor there is a large twin bedded room that also has a sofa bed to accommodate a child. In this room is a second TV video and Play Station 2. For your convenience on this floor there is also a separate shower room.
An open tread marble staircase leads to a further 2 double bedrooms both with luxury en suite shower rooms, 1 twin bedroom and 1 room with bunk beds plus a further family bathroom The master bedroom having a walk in wardrobe.
All the rooms have hot and cold air conditioning units making it ideal for all year round holidays.
Making your way out of the dining room you step out onto a large tiled terrace and pool area which is set amongst the tropical palms and the evening scents of jasmine and orange blossom. You can even pick yourself an orange or a lemon for your drink from among the various fruit trees. To complete that outdoor living there is a barbeque house and outdoor furniture for you to enjoy.

Villa Athena is situated in the foothills of the Mostalla Mountain range on the outskirts of the traditional market town of Pego. The peace and quiet, excellent climate and the proximity to pristine blue flag beaches make the villa ideal for your holiday.
You can travel back in time and stroll around the medieval winding streets admire the architecture and the blue tiled domes of the chapels and churches.
The area is surrounded by groves of oranges, cherries and almond trees. During the summer, in Pego´s National Park, you can take a row boat trip on the Salinar river part of the wetlands a bird watchers paradise. You can visit Font Salada and bathe in crystalline waters where the locals swear that the minerals in the waters cure just about everything!!
You can enjoy any number of walks bike rides and climbing - bikes can be hired and made available to you on arrival.
El Vergel safari park is only 10 minute drive away
In addition the beautiful beaches of Oliva and Club Nautico marina offers all manner of water sports. If golf is on your agenda Oliva Nova golf is only 5 minute drive away.

There are many Spanish villages and towns to visit many hidden away from tourists or you can sun bathe on the golden beaches or find a bargain on the Spanish street markets. The fiestas are something to see and not to be missed.

Our area is know as the orange blossom coast with the vast fertile citrus groves of oranges and lemons.
If you drive 15 minutes inland you will find the Orba valley and the Jalon Valley where you can explore the winding streets with the typically Spanish white washed houses. You could sample the locally produced wines including the famous Moscatel at the local bodegas. This is without doubt the real Spain!!
The Costa Blanca is a very popular region with visitors. Miles of award winning soft white sandy beaches shelving gently into the Mediterranean this makes a good choice for children. Benidorm is an excellent choice for wonderful sandy beaches and vibrant night life. There is an Aquapark nearby Terra Mitica and for a night out visit Benidorm Palace.
A 5 minute drive away is El Vergel safari park - a good day out for any age, in the same area visit the Spanish towns of Oliva and Gandia. The area is steeped in history relax and be a part of the Spanish way of life if only for a short while.
A 20 minute drive will take you to Denia. A bustling cosmopolitan town with many bars and restaurants. You can even take the ferry to Ibiza.
Trains run between Valencia and Gandia, or a one hour drive will take you to Valencia the region’s capital. This stunning city is a must to visit, wether it be museums or the oceanographic or just shop till you drop ( into the nearest tapas bar!!) Well you have to experience the Spanish way of life!!
For a traditional Spanish night out with a traditional flamenco show a visit to Viva Espana is a must situated on the N332 20 minutes drive away.


 

An ideal choice for a large group of friends and families. This luxury 5 bedroom 4 bathroom villa is set on a hillside in a tranquil location with panoramic views to the sea and mountains. Ideal for an out of season break or summer holiday. Villa Athena boasts 2 en suite bathrooms and a private pool. For the younger members or just the young at heart there is also a second TV, video and PlayStation 2.

The villa comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 3 twin, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 4 bathrooms and 4 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television video, dvd. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 10 in the living room and 10 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking and a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming, walking.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, climbing, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, golf, tennis, a sports center, historic sites, a museum, a zoo, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.
