The house is situated just five min walk from the village of Serramonacesca. It is 200 year old stone farmhouse that has been restored to the highest specification and has astounding views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. Situated just 20 min. from the sandy beaches of Pescara, and 30 min. from the bottom of the chair lift (2700 m high, so plenty of snow in the winter), this charming old farm house offers both good skiing in the winter and wonderful swimming in the Adriatic in the summer - but tranquility at all times! The house is approached through large iron gates and a tree lined 100m drive, with a small river at the bottom (safe for children to paddle and even has the odd trout!). It has over 200 olive trees in the surrounding grounds - and also some almond, fig, pear trees. The farm is fully centrally heated for the winter months. There is an enormous veranda (12m x 6m) on the first floor facing south allowing maximum effect of the wonderful view.

 

Serramonacesca is a tiny village found in the province of Pescara in the Abruzzo Region. It is located on the crest of a 900 foot hill which drops down a steep ridge to the Alento and Vallone Rivers. Serramonacesca is noted for the 9th century Benedictine Abbey of San Liberatore a Maiella, one of the most important medieval churches in Italy. Visit the wonderous mountains and valleys of Serramonacesca.
 

To the left of the house we have just constructed a 12 metre solar heated swimming pool and swiss style chalet. At the rear of the ground we will be building a self contained apartment in a second log cabin.

The country house comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 1 twin and 1 cots, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 3 single sofa beds. This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The country house has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The country house has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. A computer is also available for your use.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The country house is in a very quiet area. It has a private north facing swimming pool, a north facing garden, a summer house, a north facing patio area (with heater), a north facing balcony, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The country house is right beside swimming, fishing, walking, cycling, mountain biking.

Close to the country house you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, climbing, horse riding, historic sites, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the country house you will find skiing/snowboarding, golf, a theatre/cinema.

Ideal for walking, paths for moto cross. Canoe and 2 mountain bikes available for use

Adriatic with superb beaches is 25 min drive. Good skiing within 45 min of (2700m).
