The city of Torrevieja is just a 10 minute drive, where you will find a host of shops, department stores, bars, restuarants, Ten Pin Bowling, Casino, Aqua Park and so much more.
The nearest beaches and coves are just 12-15 minutes walk and are some of the cleanest and safest in Europe, all beaches in the area have been awarded the European Blue Flag of Excellence. in addition to swimming and sunbathing, there are some excellent areas for snorkelling or scuba diving.
There are 3 top class Golf Courses within a 10 minute drive of Playa Flamenca, and a further 1/2 dozen within an hours drive. Book early to ensure the best times.
And of course there are many Local Events, Fiestas and Festivals all year round on the Costa Blanca.
 

There are many local shopping areas nearby, where you will find everything you could possibly need, including 8 supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, post office, dry cleaners, banks etc.

cheryl says: "I have just returned from a two week stay at al andalus and found it to be a great place. the accomadation was as described and was very clean. this is an ample size property for a family of 4, although if you have any difficulty with stairs this property is not advisable as the appartmnent is on the first floor and the steps are quite steep. the property was bery well furnished and local shops and bars were within easy reach. we hired a car but shops and rstaurants are within walking distance. the appatment is only one street away from the pool wich is a good size and rarely busy which i was surprised at considering that we went in july. there was plenty of seating around the pool also and umbarrellas for shade if you wished. the owners were very helpful and there was an engkish speaking couple in the appartment downstairs to the right who were also helpful if you needed anything. the shop colse by had agood selection of english food and was reasonably priced. all in all i would definatly recomend this appartment. "
