This magnificent townhouse is located above the ocean, enjoying panoramic sea view, above the Praia da Areia Branca, in the county of Lourinhã. Although cross country downhill is a much shorter distance, Praia da Areia Branca is about 2,5 Km distant by road. Here you find a wide choice of bars, cafes, restaurants and shopping facilities. Lisbon is 70 Km to the south.

The three storey townhouse has a small garden in the front yard and a large swimming pool (8 x 4 m) with a magnificent sea view, surrounded by a large terrace with garden and pool furniture and BBQ.

The carefully equipped and decorated villa (approx. 250 m² living area) consists of:
entrance floor:  entrance hall, large living room with dining area, TV, telephone (incoming calls only) and balcony with sea view, and a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher and wash machine included);
lower level: access to the swimming pool and to the terraces, one bedroom, living room with sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen (wash machine included) with dining area and TV, and one bathroom;
1st floor:  3 bedrooms (one sea view, another with sea view and balcony) and 2 bathrooms (one with jacuzzi);
loft: one bedroom, one living room with sofa bed and one bathroom.

Praia da Areia Branca is a typical resort for the locals with only a few select hotels and holiday resorts. Many Portuguese people from the surrounding areas choose this resort for their August holidays. The beach is watched by lifeguards on duty, and offers sun-shades for rental against a small fee. Those who want to distance themselves from the most crowded areas only have to walk one or two bays down the beach where they will find a bay for themselves.

There is a beautiful beach promenade with lots of small cafes and good restaurants. The town is especially filled with teenagers and there is a very special nightlife. The express bus from Lisbon to Peniche stops in Praia da Areia Branca, and it is easy to get around without a car. And if you are not up to sitting at a restaurant, there is a daily a market where you can buy fresh fish for your home barbecue.
 

This region of the West coast, with about 23.000 habitants, along 11 assemblages of villages, is today very well and easily reached from the main cities of the country and Lisbon, which is 63 Km distant.

The origin of the name Lourinhã is, in the opinion of some theories connected with the existence of a roman village named Louriana, however, the most acceptable is the one that says that D. Afonso Henriques has given to the French noble D. Jordan the lands today known as Lourinhã, because of the great actions he has done in the reconquest of Lisbon to the Moorish. As D. Jordan came from Lorient, the evolution would have lead to Louran and later to Lourinhã. His 12 km of coast, where there is at the same time beautiful beaches, clipping cliffs and quiet bays, on a course that is travelled over by the sun, warm and bright, during all the year, are an unique and rich landscape.
 
Those natural conditions invite you to practice several nautical sports: sportive fishing, submarine hunting, submarine photography, surf or much more like jet sky for example. The interior of the region, characterized by the pastoral landscape and harmony of his colours, has a lot of excellent conditions for a quiet and rest holidays. There you can find guest houses in countryside, where you can establish a direct contact with nature, farming life and make several activities like riding, tennis, BTT, hunting, mini-golf, kart or simply rest.

In his patrimony, you can find the Church of Nossa Senhora da Anunciação (also known as The Church of Saint Mary of The Castle), The Church of Mercy, The Convent and Church of Saint Anthony, The Fort of Paimogo, The Park of Fonte Lima, The Museum of Lourinhã and also, among others, The Commemorative Pattern of the Battle of Vimeiro, where the Portuguese and English army win against the troops of Napoleon, commanded by the General Junot on the 21 August of 1808 during the first French Invasion.
 
 

The villa comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 5 double, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has television satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only.

There is room for 12 in the living room and 12 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.
