While the entrance to the apartment is on the ground floor, the natural slope of the site elevates the terrace and room views to the 1st floor. Access from the underground car park is via a short flight of steps, or by lift.

The gardens, pools and the other facilities of the complex are all on the ground floor making the apartment and the whole site “wheelchair-friendly”.

 

Duquesa Suites, Golf and Gardens lies about 12kms South West of Estepona in the western part of the Costa del Sol. The new motorway gives easy access to the main airports(Malaga, Gibraltar and Jerez) in the region.

The marina of Puerto La Duquesa is very close by and provides plenty of restuarants, bars, shops, cafes, car hire, boat hire, tourist information and banks. Right next to the port on either side there are "Blue Flag" beaches with promenades. The "Castillo", the roman castle is just 300 mtrs from the Puerto La Duquesa with its own bars and seafood restuarants in the associated Hamlet. Highly recomended!

The Puerto of Estepona and Sortegrande are all within 15mins drive offering additional sources of shops, bars, restuarants and entertainment.

The town of Sablinias, 5 minutes away, offers additional shops, bars, restuarants, banks, beaches, etc and also has it's recently extended promenade. The town has a local market twice a week. The Sunday market is not to be missed and attracts crowns from all around!

For those of you who are golfers, there are many golf courses (inc Valderrama) in the area and the apartment is set in the middle of "La Duquesa golf and country club". This golf course is a championship 18 hole Robert Trent Jones designed course and overlooks the Mediterranean with views out to North Africa and Gibraltar. This of course is suitable for professional and novice players alike. There is also a driving range. THE CLIMATE OF THE COSTA DEL SOL MAKES THIS AN ALL YEAR ROUND GOLFING LOCATION. The country club offers tennis courts (4), restuarant, gym, turkish bath, jacuzzi, sauna,indoor pool, billards and a pro-golf shop.

Within half an hour you can be shopping in Estepona, Sortegrande, Marbella or Puerto Banus (which also offers lively night-life), playing one of over 30 golf courses or enjoying beautiful mountain scenery in the Sierra Bermeja or visit the African Wildlife park at Selwo.

There is a water park on the outskirts of Estepona. Within a couple of hours are the historic cities of Cadiz, Seville, Ronda, Cordoba Granada and Jerez, as well as the famous Andalucian "White Villages".

The whitewash hilltop town of up and coming Caseres(Pictures always in the newspapers) is definately worth a visit. A walk through the narrow steets through the town square up to the church at top of the town is a must for the panaramic views across the land and out to sea. I suggest you don't do this in the middle of the day when the sun is at its most powerfull.

From nearby Algeciras you can take a day-trip by high speed ferry to Tangier, Morocco. Also from Algeciras you can take the panaromic train journey to Ronda. Allow a whole day to see Ronda.

Gibraltar is a 30 minutes drive for all your Duty Free purchases and of course the famous apes. 

The apartment boasts a large 30sq metres south facing terrace with an elevated (1st floor) views over the gardens, stream/waterfalls towards the sea. The terrace has its own sunbeds, table and chairs. Plants and flowers are also on the terrace. Sky Digital is also available in the apartment for the normal UK TV channels.

The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the apartment cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The apartment has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.
