In 1956 local chiropractor, Mr Boix and his dentist wife chose the site of an old vineyard with views over the picturesque medieval village of Arles sur Tech for the site to create a villa to live in and a separate suite of rooms for them to practice in. When we bought the house in 2003 we converted the practice rooms into extra living accommodation, installed a swimming pool and created extra terraces.

La Paloma now comprises the following accommodation:

With this combination the house can provide beds for twelve people with option to use the sofa beds for a further 6 people. Cots available on request.
 

Built in an old vineyard, La Paloma is surrounded by wonderful grounds with extensive terracing and seating areas for outdoor dinning.

The house has a 9m x 4.5m swimming pool with Roman steps. There is an extensive sunbathing area with plenty of sun beds.

The house has games equipment for badminton and boules as well as a full size table tennis table.
 

La Paloma in on the edge of the tiny medieval village of Arles sur Tech, 30 miles inland from Perpignan in South West France. 

ADDITIONAL BEDS There are three double sofa beds in the house and two further single beds that can be put into any of the bedrooms.

The villa comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 4 double, 1 twin and 1 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 3 double sofa beds located in the 2 in the Villa lounge, 1 in the Appartment lounge. This gives room for up to 12 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 3 bathrooms and 4 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has . The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. Recreational activities available with the villa include table tennis.

There is room for 12 in the living room and 12 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming, walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, historic sites, a museum, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Close to the villa you will find fishing, climbing, golf, tennis, a sports center, a theatre/cinema.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, flying, skiing/snowboarding, scuba diving, a zoo, a themepark.

The property itself was ideal - spacious, with everything you could possibly need in the house to ensure a comfortable, hassle free stay (and a lovely pool!). Arles sur Tech, the village La Paloma is based in, is lovely and quiet and the prioperty has a lovely view of the Pyrenees. There are also lots of beautiful French towns/beaches just a short drive away for a day/morning trip (Ceret , the town where Picasso lived, has a lovely french market). You couldn't ask for a more ideally situated property really! La Paloma is so well placed you could turn the weekend into anything you wanted it to be - adventurous/quiet/ relaxing...just brilliant!
