Casa Bumerango, in the typical Quepos neighborhood of Paraiso (meaning "paradise"), is a friendly, low-key enclave close to the village center yet removed enough to be relaxing. Gabriela says: "We really enjoyed staying here. The porch was terrific and was honestly where we spent most of our time. It was a bit loud at night with the roosters and dogs but the tradeoff was getting to be in a neighborhood where we could walk to the Bodega or local bar and not have to get in the car and drive. It was also nice to get visits from the neighborhood dogs and get a little familiar with life in Quepos. "
