Situated at the top of a hill with panoramic views of the nearby sea and the surrounding hills and valleys, Villa Alexandra covers 140 square metres as two brand new, self contained floors with separate access and stairs to each. However, the villa can be booked as a whole unit for a family or families of up to 10 persons or large or small groups of friends. There is adequate parking for two family sized vehicles and each floor has its own private garden areas as well as use of the whole garden space, patio and pool. We can also offer services which include, welcome pack, mid stay clean, airport pickups (max 3 persons). Prices for these services can be obtained after booking.

The villa has
Two double bedrooms (with two white 6ft luxury day beds, built-in wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside tables all in the same style. The main bedrooms also have there own separate balcony where café style table and chairs are provided to take breakfast, lunch or dinner, or just to look out over the surrounding countryside and the sea
a further one bedroom which can sleep up to two adults or children (in each). This bedroom has two single beds. There are built-in wardrobes, and bedside table in each. Each bedroom has aircon, if you wish to use this the cost would be E20 (euro) per unit (to be paid locally)

A fully equipped kitchen on each level (including dishwasher, microwave, kettle, oven and four ring hob, fridge/freezer,
iron & ironing board),
furnished dining and lounge area with dining suite, comfortable navy blue leather sofa, TV, coffee tables, music system
a high quality double futon sofa is also provided which could sleep a further two people if required
a 17ft covered terrace to the lounge area is accessed by large double French windows. This terraced area has an additional dining table and chairs so that guests can take meals together and look out over the sea and mountain views
each room is fitted with large ceiling fans to keep the rooms cool during the hot summers. Sea and mountain breezes are also welcome

Rethymnon Harbour

To the west is one of the longest sandy beaches in the Mediterranean, 14 kms long!

There are two excellent large local supermarkets (Champion and Lidl) within a 5 minute drive from the villa from which a good range of food and supplies can be purchased.

A mini market/provisions shop is only 2km away at Adele. A restaurant and bar are 6 kms from Villa Alexandra.

Both floors are furnished throughout with luxury furniture in the Cretan colours of deep blue, white and aqua The final 100 meter's up to the villa is fairly steap but is more than compensated by the stunning views from the villa

The villa comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 1 twin and 1 cots. The property also has 2 double sofa beds located in the One in each lounge. This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 10 in the living room and 10 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private east facing swimming pool, a east facing garden, a east facing patio area, a east facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming, walking.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, wind surfing, fishing, climbing, historic sites, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Ian says: "A very well equipped and presented villa set in the hills with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. A perfect place to return to at the end of a busy day on the beach or touring the island. The downside of the isolated location is that there are no local amenities within walking distance. Plus the access road is very steep. Ideal for friends/familiies renting the whole place as one unit. Overall, great value for money. "

We are really pleased that our clints enjoyed their stay at Villa Alexandra but would disagree regarding the Isolated location as the closest shop is only 3 minutes drive away and the local town with shops, bars and a beach is only 5 minutes drive away. We would agree that the road up the villa is steep but once you arrive at the villa the views are fantastic and you can see for miles.
