The most popular resort on Rhodes is the ancient town of Lindos which is just 1km away in the adjoining bay. Lindos is a town not to be missed with a wealth of small shops and extensive restaurants all set in the quaint and narrow streets which are only accessible to people and donkeys. Lindos Acropolis sits above the town dominating the skyline. A little further away to the north Rhodes town provides an interesting day to explore shops and museums etc. While in the south of the island water sports are very popular where the Aegean Sea meets with the Mediterranean
