The Greek name of the owner of this house is Angel, and does this house look like something that an angel would reside in?!( It is truly as if you come to an angels place and like you are on a cloud somewhere in heaven.) Everything this house has is sweet. There has been hardly any compromise made to restore this house in the old colorful village style of Koskinou. Once you step into this domicile you feel relaxed at once. The sala (living room) has two high built bankas that both contain double beds. There is a sitting area with beautiful antique couches and a likewise dining area. The decoration of the kitchen, and even the bathroom are very picturesque. A separate romantic bedroom contains another double bed, and a parking place is just right outside the door, so you are not faced with any parking problems. The house is located in the old village of Koskinou and the balcony of the house gives a spectacular valley view that invites you to spend long hours outside to chat, wine and dine. In the courtyard there is another outside shower, so that one can be refreshed outside on a hot day. 

Between Rhodes and Faliraki, on the coast road, youll find the picturesque village of Koskinou. It is a 10 minutes drive from the capital city of Rhodes. At first if you come into the village, one might think to find a very modern centre, but don’t be deceived! Leave your car at the school square and walk into the old village centre, through the alleys on the side of George restaurant. You’ll find numerous small streets and alleys, which were especially build to fool the pirates and to have them loose track of the way.

The traditional village is well known for the narrow winding roads, the church at the square, built 1873 and the large number of impressive old houses, which have interior decoration, in the traditional Rhodian style, with cobblestone floors. One you can visit - ask for more information in Jannis Taverna in the old centre (which is an excellent restaurant, and for which people come from all over Rhodes). The village is surrounded by courtyards full of flowers.

Koskinou has a lovely sandy beach, offering sun beds and umbrellas for you, to relax. Along the beach there are excellent .taverns, snack bars. For those seeking for sports, there are all kinds of water sports, along the beach and the clear inviting sea. The rocky coastline next to Kallithea, is indented by small coves.

Part of Koskinou is Thermen Kalithea beach beauty, just outside Koskinou on the way to Faliraki. Thermen Kalithea was originally a health spa, built in the Moorish style by the Italians in the 1920s. The dramatic, decayed setting and kitsch architectural features, including domed pavilions and pink marble pillars, make it a favourite venue for fashion photographers. A major restoration has breathed new life into the holiday resort which is approached down an avenue of pines. Palm trees offer shade on a small shingle beach while sun beds are scattered around a small lido. It is a perfect place for sun bathing or to relax in the quiet atmosphere of the beach. Buildings are illuminated at night to add a Disney-like glitz to the pseudo oriental atmosphere. A nearby cove is the target of many scuba diving excursions from Rodos and 15 minutes walk away is the beach resort hotel of Aldemar Paradise with water sports and similar facilities.

For the children Koskinou village has a wonderful huge playground with an inside and outside park for children called Playland. The parents can relax with a cup of coffee while the children are being attended by the special staff. Just outside Koskinou is Waterpark, one of Europe’s biggest water parks with numerous different swimming pools and all that comes along with it. 

 

The village house comprises 1 bedrooms in total; 1 double and 1 cots. The property also has 2 double sofa beds. This gives room for up to 5 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The village house is in a very quiet area. It has a summer house, a east facing balcony, panoramic views. If you are driving there is private parking.

Close to the village house you will find a beach, swimming, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, fishing, horse riding, golf, tennis, a sports center, scuba diving, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a themepark.

Valeriya says: "The house is really traditional and unique. The decoration, furniture, acessories are really authentic. The mosaic floor is absolutely gorgeous. The bedroom was a bit too noisy-the window faces the street (although its a village street). There is a small and very old TV-Set but absolutely no signal. The house needs a bit more cleaning, although lining was perfect. "
