This is a unique and stunning apartment situated in a quiet medieval village just 5 minutes drive from access to the biggest ski area in the world. The apartment is the ground floor of an ancient farmhouse - now called Chalet Piton - which was renovated and modernised in the summer of 2008. All the original stone pillars and vaulted ceilings have been retained while modern comfort and convenience introduced. The beautifully tiled floors are heated and controlled room by room. The kitchen includes fitted dishwasher, fan-oven and ceramic hob. All the plumbing and electrics are brand new and to modern standards.
Accommodation
The main bedroom has a double bed and fitted wardrobe. The second bedroom has twin beds. The bathroom has a double headed shower, w.c. and basin all with stylish fittings, plus a heated towel rail. There is a washing machine and tumble drier in a small utility room. The hallway is spacious and well lit with a boot and shoe rack. The lounge/diner is has plenty of space for the huge sofas and a dining table. One sofa is a double sofa-bed.
Location
The village is the medieval hamlet of Chandon and has plenty of parking. The village is just a 5 minute drive to Meribel Centre and there is even a blue piste to ski back on. Chandon village has only 40 properties occupied by local French families, some seasonal resort workers and ski vacationers. The regular free bus stops just 20 yards from the front door.
