Villa Conchetta is comprised of 2 mirror Villas one of which is available for rent "La Villa" and an independent house "La Cascina".
These houses are situated on a `2 hectare property and overlook a picturesque hilly scenario typical of the northern Rome countryside where sheep and horse grazing are a familiar site. All houses surround an interior courtyard with orange and lemon trees, and a wading pool. A 120mt (350ft) long road entrance, surrounded by olive trees, leads to the villa.

Villa Conchetta, surrounded by olive trees and built in a quaint Lazium-Tuscan style, consists of handmade terracotta floor tiles, stucco exterior walls with a typical antique Roman red finish and chestnut wooden ceiling beams with intermediate terracotta tiles. The roof is of early century terracotta coned tiles.

La Villa has two large outside porticos with terracotta floors and chestnut beam ceilings where you can especially enjoy your early morning and sunset hours. An evening dinner or cocktail underneath the westerly portico overlooking the sunset behind the distant hills is a soothing sensation. Outside furniture, including dining tables seating up to 20 and barbecue are provided. Various herb plants such as rosemary, basil, sage, m`es, and tarragon grow outside just steps from the kitchen.

An amphitheater and patio on the North side provides a cozy and sheltered area.

The inner courtyard, 400 square meters (3600sq.ft) has a fountain and wading pool (5mt by 2mt by 1.2mt deep) where you can refresh and sun bathe during the warm summer months.





 

La Villa (sleeps 6+2)
La Villa is on two floors, having a kitchen, dining room, living room, study-library, master bedroom with bathroom and loft which can be used as an additional bedroom and/or study. Another two double bedrooms with bathroom lead to an independent garden patio and amphitheater. Throughout the villa the floor is made of handmade terracotta tiles in a herring bone design.

Living room: a spacious quaint 30square-meter (350 sq.ft) room with early 1900's stone fireplace and a 15ft high ceiling of wooden chestnut beams with intermediate terracotta tiles.

Dining room: adjoining dining room between the kitchen and the living room seats 10.

Kitchen: equipped with stainless steel gas stove and convection oven, restaurant-style cooking surfaces, microwave, toaster-oven, fridge, washing machine and a fireplace where you can grill your meals.

Study-library: a quiet room where you can relax, read and or listen to music. An additional single bed is available on request.

Master bedroom: a 5mt (15ft) high ceiling chestnut wood beam room with a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower; the room also has an attic loft with an additional single bed.

2nd Bedroom: room with choice of a queen size bed or two single beds and en-suite bathroom with shower. This room leads to an independent garden patio and amphitheater.

3rd Bedroom: room with queen size bed and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. This room also leads to the independent garden and patio and amphitheater.

The villa comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 3 double, 1 twin, 1 single, 3 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 3 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television video, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only.

There is room for 12 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

This is a non-smoking villa

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has a private swimming pool, a garden, a summer house, a patio area, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

peter says: "Villa Conchetta is beautiful, spacious and exceeded our expectations. The views are fantastic with the villa set in the countryside near the town of Bracciano, just a short drive from the villa. If your going you will need a car and a good satalite navigation system is essential, especially during the darker hours, as there is very little lighting around the country lanes. We discovered the neccesity of the system when we left ours at the villa and ended up driving round for almost four hours in the dark. However, the owners of the villa are very welcoming and exceptionally helpful for all the local knowlege you will need. You will not find more accommodating, kind or friendly hosts as those at villa conchetta. I advise you do not drive in to Rome if you plan to visit, unless your crazy on the road. Your hosts will advise you on trains and the metro system. I also suggest that you give the Stables a miss for food. Whislt the owners of the Stablkes were very pleasant, it's very expensive and the food, on this occasion was poor. Instead try the local sports facility as the restaurant there is fantastic and very cheap with the chef wanting you to try all his creations. We had several dishes here (in the same sitting) for a quarter of the price. Gabriella is very passionate about his food and you will find it difficult to leave this place due to his hospitality and the real taste of italy. Bracciano lake is just a stone throw from the villa and it's only a thirty minute drive to the Med. There are local markets in the town and again, your hosts will give you all the information you need to get there. Overall the villa experience was fantastic and the owners were just so helpful, friendly and pleasant. We will definately miss this place!"
