Do not be deceived by the rather gloomy stone spiral staircase leading to this charming apartment on the second floor. Bijou is bright, welcoming and beautifully furnished, and its location in the historic part of the town, close to Perth Museum and Art Gallery and the Horsecross Concert Hall make it ideal for a city break, whether it be for holiday use or a business visit. Above any noise level, the kitchen and bedroom windows have modern double glazing and the view from the sitting room is on to one of Perths best shopping streets, with an interesting range of individual shops and restaurants to explore. And all within a two minute walk of the River Tay and the North Inch (one of Perths two beautiful parks) where visitors can enjoy a most delightful stroll. Crossing the Victoria Bridge to the North side of the Tay, you can join the Norrie Miller Sculpture Trail returning by the Queens Bridge to visit The Fergusson Gallery opposite the South Inch. There are further excellent walks on Kinnoull Hill, or even out to Scone Palace on the edge of the town (there is also a bus service).
The railway and bus station are around a 10-minute walk, so you can enjoy access to every part of Scotland without a car, indeed, for many getting to Edinburgh and Glasgow, its the preferred means of transport. Theres a Park and Ride on both West and East side of the town where you can leave your car, or use the multi-storey car park nearby.
Dundee, City of The Discover (Scotts antartic ship) is around 20 miles away and there is an excellent frequent train service from Perth. 

Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews are easily accessed in around an hour by car and there are good local rail connections. Visiting Crieff, Stirling Castle, St Andrews, Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, Royal Deeside, the Grampian Highlands and further north are all possible from this central location.

Crieff, around 25 minutes by car offers The Famous Grouse Experience, Stuart Crystal and The Highland Drovers Experience. Visit Tullibardine Chapel, or Innerpreffray Library, the oldest lending library in Scotland, or the Dupplin Cross at nearby Dunning. The site of the Roman Camp at Ardoch is at nearby Braco and Drummond Castle Gardens are world famous as well as the NTS Branklyn Garden in Perth. 

The area is steeped in history and attracts many visitors who are researching their ancestry.
