The apartment is situated approximately 40 mins from Antalya airport, which has direct flights from the UK from most of the charter airlines and via Istanbul with BA and Turkish Airlines (I recommend a short stay in Istanbul it is an amazing place!).

The apartment is located in the historical old town of Side and is within easy walking distance of the town and beaches where all the usual facilities are offered. (easy walk means less than 1km)

Although completion (as you can see from the photo) is not until the end of May this apartment is right on target and will be available to rent from the beginning of June. (Please note I will update photos on a monthly basis upto completion).

The apartment has 3 double bedrooms (6 beds in tota) and a very large open plan kitchen, diner and living area (45m2) which has a balcony with fantastic views over the Sorgun forest and mountains. As the apartment is brand new and is furnished to the highest modern standard (it is also child friendly). It is fully air conditioned throughout and has satellite TV, DVD player with a selection f DVD's and an broadband connection.

The apartment is part of a small complex with a communal pool, gym and sauna. There is a snack bar and fanastic views of the mountains and sea, which are unspolit as the property is protected by green belt to stop building work affecting the views.

The property has 2 families living on site to provide 24 security, cleaning facilities and to answer your questions.

Side is well known for its long and sandy beaches and historic old town with amphitheatre. Surrounding the old city of Side there are two major beaches, one is the east beach and the other is the west beach.

Although these two beaches are not far away from each other the characteristics are very different. Especially the west beach which is very safe and shallow (family friendly), is very popular.

Both beaches offer many sporting facilities like parasailing, waterskiing, diving, fishing, boat tours etc.

Restaurants, Cafes and Nightlife in Side

There are many restaurants and cafes offering a wide variety of cuisine with a beautiful sea view. The specialty of Side is the seafood offered with different types of starters and salads which are a specialty of the Turkish Mediterranean region.

There are numerous restaurants near the marina where you can enjoy fish straight from the boat. One of these is Orfoz, which serves both Turkish and international cuisine; another is Soundwaves Restaurant. You can sample kebabs, pizzas and various international dishes at Yakamoz in Titreyengöl before dancing it all off at their disco. Another restaurant with a dance floor is Bill Cosby in Kumkoy, a lively Turkish restaurant serving traditional food.
Cafes and Bars:

Side also offers countless bars, discos and nightclubs, both in the old town and in the near surrounding areas.

Lighthouse disco is located in the old town and is one of the most popular places for the night clubbers. It's an open air disco where you can dance and enjoy yourself until the early hours of the morning.

Another very popular disco is the Oxyd which is located in the outer part of the old town of side and has a very interesting architecture which was mainly inspired by a very popular and historical church in Morocco. If you get too hot you can always cool off in the disco's swimming pool!  

Side is a beautiful upmarket resort situated on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. It lies between the two major resorts of Antalya and Alanya. The resort itself dates back to the Roman Empire when it was a very important trading port, much evidence of this period still remains standing with many more ruins being excuvated. One of the evident land marks of this time is Side's beautiful well preserved amphitheatre, which is still used for concerts during the summer months, with a music festival taking place during the month of September.

A stroll down the main street of Side will bring you to the pretty harbour with many resturaunts overlooking the bay. Adjacent to the harbour is the famous Apollo temple where it is said Mark Anthony proposed to Cleopatra. Walk around the side streets and you will see many old original Turkish houses, some of which have been turned into small pensions.

There are many activities on offer such as diving, quad biking, horse riding, white water rafting, para sailing, jeep safaris and the beautiful taurus mountains where you can ski in the winter months at Saklikent which is just one and a half hours from Side.


 

This 3 bed apartment (will sleep 8) is in a modern design that should suit most tastes, with state of the art air conditioning units to keep it cool inside. It is a very light and airy apartment, with good views from the balconies to the Sorgun forest, mountains and sea. The complex is set on a hill in an exclusive area of town with local shops and bars 5-12 minutes walk. The apartment is brand new and of a very high standard with all new furniture and fittings, including English Satellite TV, DVD player with a slecetion of DVD's, Broadband connection and 2 balconies. There is also a communal pool (with baby pool), gym and snack bar on site.

The apartment comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 1 twin and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the apartment cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The apartment has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, a microwave, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.
