Charming holiday home of a high standard, well-equipped and tastefully furnished. Very nice pool division with a whirlpool, sauna and swimming pool. The house harmonizes with the landscape and has a lovely and open terrace. It is situated near the fiord where there are good fishing grounds. If you want to drive, you might catch salmon in the rivers of Audneelva and Mandalselva. The nearest large town is Mandal with a good selection of shops, restaurants and service offers. Lindesnes is Norway's most southern point on the main land. There's a distance of 2518 kms from Lindesnes to Nordkapp, (North cape) in the north of Norway. At Lindesnes, east meets west, and the ocean outside the headland can be quite rough! That is also the main reason why Norway's first lighthouse was built here as early as 1655.
Lindesnes lighthouse has about 70.000 visitors a year. The lighthouse is today a national lighthouse museum. The large mountain hall located inside the mountain under the lighthouse includes exhibitions, a movie theatre and a cafeteria. The area is open to the public all year long, and the museum is open from Easter to September (in addition to selected weekends). Then the lighthouse is open, and you can visit the exhibition "Landkjenning", go exploring in the remnants of the coastal fort the Germans had during World War II - or lean back in the movie theatre.
