Masia Alzineta or 'Alzineta Farmhouse' is nestled within a small more modern development, which grew up on land once belonging to the farm. This 500 year old house is full of rustic charm yet benefits from modern comforts. The house is set within large gardens and has a huge, totally secluded, 250m2 walled patio with solar heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi. There’s a giant trampoline in the garden, with safety net and table football in the patio. With 3 big bedrooms and 1 smaller one, 2 doubles, a twin with 2 double beds, a single room with full size bunkbeds, large family bathroom with independent shower, seperate shower room, 2 living rooms, dining hall, kitchen and utility room. There is very spacious accommodation for 8 people.

The development has a small shop for your essentials and is just 1km from the village of Rodonya with its famous brasserie restaurant, supermarket, pharmacy, tobacconist, petrol station and excellent riding stables (one of two within minutes of the house).

The surrounding countryside is a mixture of rolling hills, vineyards and more distant mountains, dotted with beautiful, typically Spanish, villages. Walking and mountain biking are from the doorstep with the extensive network of sign-posted footpaths and marked trails (part of the GR network).
 

A car is necessary to enjoy and explore the region.
The fabulous beaches of the Costa Dorada (Gold Coast) are 15 minutes away, with a host of water sports. Within half an hour you have PortAventura Theme Park and Costa Caribe water-park. Just 10 minutes down the road there is the lovely AquaLeon water and safari park. The premier Golf Course Costa Dorada, Tarragona is 15 minutes away and offers a wonderful, par 72 course from just 54€ a day. Barcelona 'City of Culture' is only an hour away. The walled Roman city of Tarragona is just 20 minutes drive and is steeped in history from Roman times through neo classical, Cuban influenced, to beautiful art nuveau creations.

 

This region is famous for its’ wines, cava (Spanish champagne) and olives. There are the beautiful beaches of the Costa Daurada, market towns, monasteries, lakes, fishing, castles and national parks. There’s so much here that we’re sure you’ll be back time and again!!

The house sleeps 8 very comfortably in 2 double bedrooms, a twin room with 2 double beds and a single room with full size bunkbeds. All bedrooms have an oscilating fan. Masia Alzineta is furnished as a family home rather than a holiday let. There is a huge, 250m2 totally private walled patio, with swimming pool with jacuzzi, BBQ, table football, a large, fully fenced garden with trampoline with safety net. There are mature almond trees and a small olive grove. There are distant sea views from 1st floor and extensive views of surrounding countryside. There is free to view Sky TV with all BBC and ITV channels and WIFI internet connection. Entrance to the house is through the patio with its pool so young children need to be supervised. The house is not isolated so there is some noise from neighbours.

The farm house comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 1 twin, 1 single and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The farm house has 2 bathrooms for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The farm house has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this farm house.

The farm house is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The farm house is right beside walking, cycling, a food shop.

Close to the farm house you will find a beach, swimming, sailing, boat hire, wind surfing, mountain biking, horse riding, golf, a sports center, historic sites, a museum, a zoo, shopping areas, a restaurant.
