The Resort – wide treelined avenues, water features and landscaped seated areas with 24hr security make Mar Menor Golf resort a uniquely luxurious choice for a holiday destination. Includes a 9-hole golf course (soon to be 18 - May 09), social facilities (owners club - luxury heated pool, bar, restaurant, hairdresser, gym, tennis court and supermarket) and an intercontinental 5 Star hotel which houses heated outdoor and indoor pools, bars and restaurants - all just a short walk (5 minutes).
Villa details - furnished to a high standard with full air conditioning downstairs & radiators in all rooms in case they are needed in the winter months. There is a telephone for internal calls around the resort & for incoming calls only. All bed linen and towels are provided, just bring your beach towels.

Polaris has three other local resorts all with 18 hole golf courses. These are a 15 minute journey either by car or the free bus service. Unlimited weekly rate for golfers from 160 euros.

 

Golf - There are many golf resorts in the region (Mosa Trajectum, La Finca, Villa Martin, Las Ramblas, Campomor and La Manga (3 championship courses at La Manga)) all within a 20-minute drive. Torre Pacheco Golf Club (9 hole) is situated only five minutes away and at 25 Euro all day is great value for money.

The loacl area offers a whole range of other activities including cycling, hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, rock climbing, hunting, water rafting, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, water skiing, fishing and bird watching.

Some of the best diving in Europe is to be experienced off Cabo de Palos. The national park of the Sierra Espuña is only one hour away offering good walking, mountain biking and climbing for the more energetic.

When it comes to beaches the Costa Calida has a lot to offer. Virtually all of the beaches along the Coast are blue flag rated, & there are a lot of them. The vast majority are sandy beaches, but there are pebbled beaches & rocky alcoves for those who prefer to indulge in a spot of snorkelling. Los Alcazares is the nearest beach resort & is a 5-minute drive from the resort which sits on the Mar Menor with its wide, quiet and safe beaches. The lassotherapy treatments are also available in San Pedro a 15-minute drive.

The traditional Spanish town of Los Alcazares is only a 5 minutes drive, offering a range of supermarkets, bars, cafes & restaurants. The historic towns of Lorca, Murcia with its café-lined squares anmd Roman port City of Cartagena are all close by and well worth a visit. There are local festivals/fiestas all year round to enjoy.

Travel - Murcia (MJV) is the closest airport and is less than 7 miles from the villa (the resort is not on the flight path). Murcia airport is served by Southampton, Gatwick, Bournemouth, Birmingham, Manchester, East Midlands, Stanstead and many other UK and European airports. Alternatively Alicante airport is just under an hour by car. We would recommend that you hire a car to help explore this lovely-unspoilt region (holiday autos is a good web-site for the cheapest hire).

Welcome pack included in the price containing all the essentials when you arrive (milk, bread, tea, coffee, wine, butter, juice and fresh fruit) . Linda will meet all guests at the entrance to the resort and will take you to the villa, show you around and ensure everything is to your satisfaction. Linda has lived in the area for several years and has plenty of useful tips. If you have any questions during your stay Linda will be on call (lives 10 minutes from the villa).

 

The villa has been furnished to the highest standard, sleeps 6/7 (one on a foldaway mattress bed) and provides everything you will need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. High chair and bedside frame available. For the more energetic there are two bikes available. Large outside covered terrace with electric fan light, large dining table and chairs (6) leading onto the garden. The first floor solarium includes sun loungers/deck chairs (4), small table and chairs (2) and a sun shade.

The villa comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 twin, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 7 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 3 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only.

There is room for 7 in the living room and 7 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming, golf, a restaurant, a food shop.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, walking, cycling, tennis, a sports center, scuba diving, historic sites, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find climbing, mountain biking, horse riding, a themepark.

Review submitted by non-Villarenters customer: We have had a wonderfull relaxing holiday. This is like home from home which makes managing the kids so much easier. The beach at Los Alcazares is wonderfull for the kidss, safe, soft sand, great for paddling, collecting shells, making sand castles and friends. We made great use of the buckets and spades in the villa, all meals out were excellent. Location is great for exploring other parts of the region. (May 08)

Many thanks we had a great time. The villa is fab, everything we needed, lots of toys for the little ones, the pool area was great.
