Our villa is perfectly located in a pretty development overlooking the Spanish market town of Bigastro and only 25 kms from Torrevieja and its award winning blue flag beaches, Bigastro has everything you need for a comfortable and pleasant holiday. Within 5 minutes walk of the villa is a recreation area with mountain bike trails, basic restaurants, a municipal swimming pool, walking trails along with bbq and camping areas.

With miles of countryside, the Crevillente mountains and prehistoric caves, historic cathedrals, churches and palaces, and surrounded by orange and lemon groves this luxurious villa provides an excellent base to explore the lovely areas of the Southern Costa Blanca.

The extraordinary climate on this part of the Costa Blanca provides more than 320 days of sunshine per year and an average yearly temperature of between 18 and 20 degrees centigrade so you can make the most of the numerous outdoor activities available throughout the year.

Our Villa comes fully equipped to make the most of the climate. Each of the main rooms are equipped with ceiling fans, optional reverse air conditioning and central heating to keep the Villa at a comfortable temperature.

The villa comprises of 3 double bedrooms (1 with ensuite bathroom), a further family bathroom, Kitchen, Hallway, Porch, Roof Terrace and a secure communal pool for the exclusive use of the villas surrounding it. All bedrooms are equipped with built in cupboards and the villa is furnished to the highest possible standard.

The large Living room has 2 large ceiling fans, hot/cold air conditioning unit, 2 leather sofas and one leather chair, English satellite TV & English Radio, a flat screen TV and DVD (which plays either DVD's or CD's). There is a selection of DVD's, CD's, books and magazines for your use. The dining table seats 6 people comfortably and the leather place mats finish the ensemble.

The Kitchen has granite worktops and stainless steel appliances: oven, grill, hob, extractor fan, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is also a plentiful supply of essential items e.g. glassware, crockery, pots, pans, cutlery etc.

The Master Bedroom has a Ceiling fan, hot/cold air conditioning and a radiator, a queen size bed, bedside cabinets and lamps. There are also fitted wardrobes with ample coat hangers and a small chest of drawers

The Master Bedroom En-suite is fully tiled and has a bath and marble sink with shower over and curtain, WC, bidet, vanity unit with fitted lights and a hairdryer. There is a selection of toiletries, and towels are provided for your convenience. Please bring your own beach towels.

Bedroom 2 has a Ceiling fan, hot/cold air conditioning and a radiator, 2 beds configured as twins or a queen size, fitted wardrobes with ample coat hangers and bedside cabinets / lamps.

Bedroom 3 has a Ceiling fan, a radiator, 2 beds configured as twins or a queen size, fitted wardrobes with ample coat hangers and bedside cabinet /lamps.

The Family Bathroom is fully tiled and there is a shower cubicle, WC and a vanity unit with fitted lights. There is a selection of toiletries and towels are provided for your convenience. Please bring your own beach towels.

The Terrace has a Spanish Mosaic style tiled table and chairs to match. There are views from the terrace of the Mountain and surrounding villages.

The roof terrace has 4 sun loungers with mattresses, a table, parasol, 6 chairs and a BBQ to make the most of those long warm summer evenings in Spain.

The large shared pool is complete with a special segregated area for younger swimmers and there are 6 sun loungers provided for your use.

Water Sports are availble at the port in Torrevieja and the surrounding coastal area, including sailing, surfing, scuba-diving, windsurfing, water-skiing and snorkeling.

Fishing is available within 5 minutes drive of the villa at the Embalse De Pedrera. You can expect to catch reasonable carp and the occasional trout. The Amadorio Dam and the Guadalest''s Dam also provide good freshwater fishing. They hold barbel, black bass, rainbow trout and the biggest carp. Rainbow trout were introduced in 1977 and are protected. To catch them you will need a licence with a trout supplement.

Horse Riding is available at the El Refugio Horse Riding Centre situated at La Mata Salt Lakes to the north of Torrevieja.

Bowling and Tennis are available at clubs and Tennis courts in the area.

Both walking and mountain bike trails are available within 5 minutes of the Villa at the camping area (La Pedrara). 

It is essential to hire a car to experience the best of the activities on offer in the surrounding area and the best place to hire one is on arrival at the airport (either at Alicante or Murcia).

You won't be short of things to do and places to visit in this area. For the historians Torrevieja is an ancient sea port steeped in history and you can still see many reminders of its colourful past. Orihuela was home to the famous Spanish poet Miguel Hernandez. There are especially two monuments to see; The Cathedral and the Palace of Rubalcalva. A short drive away is the city of Murcia. The city is divided by the Segura River and is known for its beautiful Baroque Cathedral, Almudi Palace and the castle of Monteagudo ( where the Arab influence can be well appreciated ), a fortress from the 11th c., the Market de Veronicas, the Malecon Garden, the University of Murcia and the Museum Ramon Gaya are all other attractions in Murcia. Other great towns and cities to visit include Elche, Alicante and Cartegena.

Fiestas are held locally most months of the year when the locals party in the streets in true Spanish-style. Below is just a selection of the carnivals and fiestas:

For those of you with children, the Costa Blanca is blessed with over 30 theme parks, water parks, zoos and safari parks. Within 20 minutes of the villa are 2 water parks, ten pin bowling, Go Karts, horse riding, a zoo and many water sports.

If you prefer a more relaxing holiday, why not spend the afternoon on the sun terrace or drive 20 minutes to one of the fabulous white sand award winning beaches.

For the evenings, there is an abundance of bars, & restaurants to cater for all budgets and tastes. A short walk away are the traditional spanish restaurants and bars of Bigastro while the more expensive tourist restaurants can also be found within 15 mins drive.

Recommendations are left at the villa of our favourites and some of the views from the restaurants are fantastic.

For those of you that wish to shop til you drop, there are various boutique style shops and hypermarkets within 20 mins drive in both Torrevieja and Orihuela, and every day of the week, there is a different market in one of the local villages.

Finally, but not least, Benidorm is little over an hours drive away and features Water Parks, a Sea World (Mundomar), and Terramitica theme park. It is well worth a day or 2 of your holiday if you have small or teenage kids. The water park Aqualandia is our special recommendation. 

There is a view of the local Mountain and a panaramic view of the surrounding villages from the roof terrace. The local town of Bigastro is within walking distance, It offers basic shopping facilities and there is a street market every Thursday. The villa comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 3 double, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared selec t aspect swimming pool, a west facing patio area, a west facing balcony, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming, fishing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, a restaurant.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, climbing, horse riding, golf, tennis, a sports center, scuba diving, historic sites, a museum, shopping areas, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find flying, a zoo, a theatre/cinema.

It is well worth driving the 40 mins to La Manga strip for a day trip,.

Benidorm has multiple water and theme parks less than 2 hrs drive away.
