The Villa
This luxury individual four year old villa is new to the rental market for 2005.Set in a mature are of pine and palm trees with other individual villas , the villa is a nice peaceful place to return to after a hectic day sight seeing or on the beach, or to relax in the beautiful gardens by the pool.The sunrise is a spectacular sight from the rooms to the front of the property as it comes up in a large red ball over the sea and the sun sets in the mountains at the side of the villa.
The Lounge is large with plenty of room to relax.There is a 40" lcd television with a satelite receiver giving over 70 channels and radio.This is linked to a stereo system for surround sound .There are french doors to the covered front terrace.This room has lovely views to the countryside beyond.
The kitchen/dining room is large and fully fitted.There is an oven and hob.The hob is gas but has an electric plate also.There is a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, coffee maker microwave oven/grill for your convenience.
The main bedroom is unusual being semi-circular.There are french windows to the front terrace overlooking the pool and open countryside.Double wardrobes.King size bed.
En Suite-bathroom is large and fully tiled.There is a bath with shower over, w.c., bidet and marble vanity unit with fitted lighting.
Bedroom two has twin beds.There are double fitted wardrobes.There are french doors to the front terrace with beautiful views to the countryside beyond.
Bedroom three has twin beds.There are fitted double wardrobes.This room has views of the garden and terrace at the rear of the property.
The main bathroom has a six foot walk in shower, W.c and fitted marble vanity unit with built in lighting.Also fully tiled.
The house has an alarm system and locking grills to doors and windows for your security. The area is very quiet and safe for walking and for children to play but it is advisable to set the alarm when going out.This is very easy with a remote control unit.
A car is essential as the villa is a few minutes drive from the village.

The gardens are fully landscaped and are on four sides of the property.The swimming pool is surrounded by plants which is very relaxing.There are palm trees, yucca plants and cactus.Also many tropical flowers such as bouganvillea. habiscus and oleander.There are flowers in the garden all year round.There is dawn to dusk lighting in the garden - also automatic security lighting.
Terracing - there is extensive terracing on three sides of the property -a covered terrace to the front first floor alsongside the main terrace there, and a terrace to the rear first floor.There is a large terrace to the rear of the property which has a barbacue and seating.There is also a tented pergola for shade.At the side of the villa there is a terrace which overlooks the swimming pool.This leads down to the pool via large sweeping steps.The pool has a terrace around it of non slip tiles.The pool itself is kidney shaped 8 x 4 and has roman steps .It gets the sun all day.

Restaurants/cafes.There are two bar/restaurants within walking distance and thirty restaurant/cafes in the village. Golf - There are three golf courses within a five minute drive.Campo de Golf Villamartin, Club de golf Las Ramblas and Rial club de golf Campoamor.Most courses require your handicap card.Half an hour away is the famous La Manga golf club and resort.
Blue Flag Beaches -These can be found in the area - beautiful white clean sand and safe for swimming.

Alicante holds its world famous carnivals.There are other activities such as Bando de la Huerta in Murcia.During Holy Week, spectacular processions are held in Alicante, Murcia Orihuela, Crevillente and Cartagena.Torrevieja has an annual May fair with horseback processions and flamenco dancing.
June/July/August
Other fiestas known as Moors and Christians with their famous mock battles and lavish costumes are held in all the surrounding towns .They are usually ended by fabulous firework displays and these can be watched most evening from the front terrace of the villa.There is also the spectacular lighting of the San Huan Horfires in Alicante to celebrate the summer.San Miguel has its fiesta from the 24th September to 2nd of October.The whole village comes out to dance in the village square until the early hours.
Restaurants - there are excellent restaurants for all nationalities in the area.San Miguel village has authentic Spanish restaurants - in particular one named Las Cuevas which has been made from the original cave homes in the village - some of which still exist and are in use today.There are two restaurants/bars within walking distance of the villa.One regularly has music from different countries and dancing.If you are interested in

Torrevieja is around 20 minutes away - this has a marina housing 300 fishing boats and 900 private boats.There is large wooden walkway which goes out to sea and is a favourite walk of the Spanish after their long lunch on a Sunday.You can visit the island of Tabarca on a glass bottomed boat from the marina.There is a museum of the history of sea and salt.There is a market of local crafts on the seafront in the summer.
Markets - all the towns and villages have their own market day.San Miguel market is on a Wednesday.Here you can buy the fresh fruit and vegetables which are grown locally.Leather shoes , belts and handbags are a bargain buy.
