Our apartment is in Torrevieja in the Spanish region of Alicante on the Costa Blanca. Beautiful sandy beaches, Europe's biggest salt flats bursting with bird life, historic sites and a huge variety of Spanish and international restaurants�just a very few of the reasons to book a holiday here.

This ancient sea port is steeped in history and you can still see many reminders of its colourful past. There are the "embarcadero romano", the old Roman docks at La Mata and along the coast you'll see the ancient watch towers of La Mata and El Moro - used in the Middle Ages to warn the local inhabitants of impending attacks by Barbary pirates.

One of the biggest festivals of the year is the "Habaneras" international music contest which takes place in August. Torrevieja swings for a week to the soulful rhythms of the melodies brought back from Latin America in the late nineteenth century when the town's salt trade with Cuba was at its peak. The festival attracts a lively television audience of hundreds of thousands of people

Our first floor apartment in the attractive La Dama complex is brand new to the rental market for Summer 2005 and is within a few yards of the beach. It is furnished and equipped to a very high standard throughout. Everything you will need for a great family beach holiday in the sun is on hand.

The spacious living and dining area is furnished with 2 comfortable sofas, coffee table and storage unit. The room is air conditioned for your comfort; for your entertainment satellite tv has been installed with a wide range of your favourite UK channels. A CD stereo system is also provided.

 

An all-year round town, Torrevieja has it's own harbour and small fishing fleet. There are excellent facilities in the town and surrounding areas - not least the countless superb restaurants, tapas bars, and shops.

Near to the marina and port are superb fish restaurants specialising in catch of the day. There are regular street markets in addition to a wonderful indoor market which offers a tremendous selection of fish, fruit, meat and vegetables throughout the year. There are beautiful fountains, plazas and historic churches and promenades throughout the town to provide cultural interest.

Pedestrianised streets with an abundance of bars and restaurants make Torrevieja a destination where you will never be short of something to do. While Torrevieja has all the amenities of a modern beach resort, it still retains much of its original charm when it was a relatively small fishing community.

Whilst primarily a beach location, you are only a 15 minute drive from 3 world-class golf courses and many other areas of interest. It certainly is a location for all the family, where your holiday can be as relaxed or as busy as you want it to be.

 

Balcony of the property overlooks the swimming pool. The apartment has spacious fitted wardrobes in both bedrooms. A digital safe is also installed for secure storage of documents and valuables.

The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the apartment cool.

The apartment has television satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this apartment.

The apartment is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a south facing patio area, a west facing balcony, interesting views. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The apartment is right beside a beach, swimming, sailing, water skiing, wind surfing, fishing, walking, cycling, scuba diving, a restaurant, a food shop.

Close to the apartment you will find golf, tennis, a sports center, historic sites, shopping areas, a themepark.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find horse riding.

The appartment was within a 2 minutes walk from Los Locos beach and approx 15 mins walk from the town centre (harbour). The neighbourhood itself is very safe and has all the facilites needed in close proximity."
