Although Akyaka has grown in recent years, it remains a picturesque village. There are no high-rise hotels - any construction has adhered strictly to the traditional architectural style of the region. Numerous wooden balconies, intricately arranged pan-tiled roofs and delicately carved fretwork shutters give the houses that tumble down the hillside towards the beach their distinctive appeal.
The atmosphere, too, remains very Turkish. There are several small grocery shops, a fruit and vegetable stall, and a choice of restaurants. You can still sit and watch elderly women driving their flocks of goats and sheep along the streets.
The Palm Tree lined sandy beach shelves very gently into the sea, making it ideal for young children. Akyaka is surrounded by forestry commission land on one side and by a conservation area on the other, thus offering superb opportunities for exploring. The remarkably untouched shingle beach at Cinar is a 50-minute walk away.
 

Akyaka/Gokova is the jewel in the Crown of Turkey, and one of the most beautiful un-spoilt coastal resorts you will ever find. The good news is that the Turkish Authorities are keeping it this way, as Akyaka is a conservation area.
 

The Villa has the use of two communal swimming pools, which are maintained to a high standard. They are within a minutes waliking distance (Operational after the 30th May ) The "conservation" beach is divided from the village by the Kadýn Azmak [woman river] and borders a recognised conservation area, which has many forms of wildlife. The village is very pretty especially with the abundance and perfumes of colorful flowers. It is said that because of the springs and many eucalyptus trees in and around Akyaka it makes a very therapeutic atmosphere. The village has numerous food shops and a village bakery. A permanent fruit and vegetable market ensures you have the best choice of locally grown fruit. There is an excellent choice of restaurants ranging from specialist kebab makers and family run restaurants to the slightly more sophisticated riverside restaurants (10 minutes walk away) where fresh water trout is offered alongside a selection of delicious bream, bass and mullet.

The villa comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 1 twin. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the Living Area in secluded corner. This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, water skiing, fishing, climbing, tennis, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find scuba diving, historic sites.
