Il Cortile forms part of this historic village property and combines the comforts of modern living with the charm of the past. The building has been carefully restored and interior designed to retain much of its original character including terracotta floors, chestnut doors and beamed ceilings.


Accommodation
This raised ground floor retreat offers spacious rooms with a wealth of character. The entrance from the courtyard leads up a couple of stone steps into the kitchen with a beautiful vaulted ceiling and terrazzo floor. The kitchen has been refitted in a contemporary farmhouse style with ceramic sink and granite worktop and is equipped with full oven, microwave and espresso machine. There is dining for 4 people (particularly useful if the property is rented in conjunction with ‘La Mansarda’). The sitting room features original terracotta floors and beamed ceilings and is furnished with 2 sofas. The old chestnut doors open to the double bedroom with hand basin and vanity unit. From the entrance hall there is a wet room with shower and toilet and adjacent butlers hand basin. The sunny courtyard provides a picturesque area to enjoy ’al fresco’ dining and is equipped with teak sun recliners to relax and unwind. Complimentary DVD, Video library. All towels and linens are included with complimentary toiletries . A separate laundry room is equipped with washing machine and iron/board.

Taponecco is served daily with groceries and there is a popular trattoria close by where you can experience typical specialities and take in the breathtaking views from the terrace.
