A private oak-lined road leads to Palazzo di Piero, a large medieval estate hidden among vineyards and olive groves, situated in one of the most idyllic parts of Tuscany. The estate comprises a chapel, a farm, well-known for the production of excellent olive oil and wine, as well as charming guests apartments and a formal residence, the Castle.

The Castle was founded in 1599, by Fabio Sozzi, a Tuscan Soldier of Fortune, and it has been in the same family for generations.
 

The exterior is of red brick and a popular local stone, travertine. The castle interiors have been decorated in an antique Siennese style reflecting local traditions and carefully preserving the ancient atmosphere which you can sense when you find yourself exploring the spacious rooms of the castle.

A large swimming pool is set in a secluded garden and is shared with clients from the guest apartments of the Palazzo di Piero. 

A stunning courtyard provides the entrance to both the guest apartments and the Castle. The Castle door opens into a large living room with fireplace where frescoes abound. Three bedrooms: one twin, one double and one single and a bathroom with bath lead off from this room. On the same floor is a spacious kitchen with a traditional Tuscan fireplace, and a stunning medieval living room with ancestral paintings and with access to the garden.

The lush gardens of the Castle are developed on three levels, one of which is designed in the formal Italian style with a water fountain, tall conical shaped evergreens, clipped shrubbery, steps, walls, and garden statuary another one is a collection of rare and exotic trees a cypress tree wood makes up the third level. This magnificent location lends itself to special occasions and weddings. Surrounding the garden are farmlands of olive groves and vineyards and guests can buy the olive oil and the wine at the farm.

The Castle accommodation is arranged on two floors. On the upper floor are two further double bedrooms (one with en-suite bathroom with shower) one single and one twin bedroom and two extra bathrooms. Three small sitting rooms, one with magnificent red wall coverings complete the living quarters. A spacious balcony with classical columns surrounds and looks out onto the courtyard and romanesque chapel, which is still in use as a place of worship. The Castle can sleep up to 12 people.
 

The castle comprises 7 bedrooms in total; 5 double, 2 single, 3 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 12 people.

The castle has 4 bathrooms and 4 WCs for your party's use.

The castle has television. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls and a fax machine. Recreational activities available with the castle include a snooker/pool table.

There is room for 10 in the living room and 12 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. You will also find a washing machine.

Smoking is allowed in this castle.

The castle is in a very quiet area. It has a private south facing swimming pool, access to a shared south facing swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area.

The castle is right beside swimming, fishing, walking, cycling, mountain biking.

Close to the castle you will find horse riding, tennis, a sports center, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the castle you will find golf.
