This is a home from home comprising of the main house with a self-contained one bed roomed flat. The main house provides light, airy spacious accommodation for 6 people.

Living Areas: two double-sided wood fireplaces divide the generously proportioned reception rooms for chilly nights. They all have double door opening onto the veranda facing the canal or the grassy courtyard and garden is fully maintained, lawned with shrubs and trees.

The kitchen dining room is fully fitted with large fridge freezer, double oven & hob, dishwasher. There are microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee percolator, and all crockery and utensils for up to 8 adults. Washing machine and drier, iron and ironing board are also available.

The main Dining room seat 8 and for your entertainment the TV room is equipped with a music system, satellite TV & DVD all with surround sound. The formal lounge is a place to read, listen to music and take quality time out. There is also a bar with a wine-cooler opening onto a veranda with patio furniture comprising of table and chairs, gas barbecue and outdoor shower to wash out all the salty sands from the beach.

Bedrooms: The three en suite bedrooms are light and airy with plenty of room for your clothes all-leading onto a large balcony with fabulous views of the Knysna lagoon and forest, ideal for watching the sunset, tide rise or evening drinks. The two double bedrooms are linked with bathrooms with bath, w/c and basins and the twin bedded bedroom is linked to the shower, w/c and basin. All linen and towels are provided, including beach towels.
 

There is a one bed roomed modern apartment over the double garage. It is completely self –contained with its own entrance. The kitchen has its own utensils, pots and pans as well as a, bar fridge, hob, washing machine and drier. There is also a coffee percolator, kettle and teapot.

It has dining table, which will seat four people. There are twin beds, a large wardrobe and a set of drawers. There are also bedside tables with lamps and a double sofa bed. The bathroom has a strong bath, w/c, and a large vanity unit.

On Arrival

The house is professionally managed and maintained by Welcome Home. On arrival at the home a representative, Jonathan will meet you and take you to the home and answer any questions you may have about your stay. He will also provide information about the area and places of interest.

Services. Maid service will be provided once per week, bed linen and towels for bathroom use are provided and changed weekly. Additional maid and laundry service can be provided if required at an extra charge.
 

Knysna fondly known as the beautiful town, nestles on the banks of a beautiful lagoon in the heart of the ‘Garden Route’, South Africa. Knysna, is truly the place for all seasons. The average daytime high is a moderate 23°C in March, but that barely falls two degrees by May.

It is surrounded by a natural paradise of lush indigenous forests, tranquil lakes and golden beaches, making it a real natural wonderland. Humpback and Southern Right whales frolic along these coastal waters from May to September, whilst dolphins are year-round residents.

The indigenous forests form the largest closed canopy forest in Southern Africa and are home to the colourful and endemic birds the Knysna loerie and Narina trogon. Knysna is also home to the only forest elephant in South Africa (the most southerly in Africa).

ACTIVITIES

If you need fresh air and good food, days out on the coast and beaches, peace and quiet. The restaurant, shops and Knysna town are just a stroll away. The coast is within easy reach of the coast with plenty of sandy beaches to spend some time sunbathing or castle building. Driving up and down the coastal towns of the Knysna Lake Area is a great way to spend a day out. Ten minutes away are the forests for walking, bird watching and mountain biking. Some of the best golf courses in the country are just 5 minutes away. There is plenty to do fishing, boating, sailing, kayaking and canoeing are just some of the activities catered for locally. The airport is 45 minutes away.

The house comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 3 double, 1 twin, 4 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed. This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The house has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.
