The small town of Benissa is to be found on the northern Costa Blanca coast . It is close to the coastal towns such as Moraira, Javea, Calpe and Altea, and it comes under the jurisdiction of the historical district and beautiful ancient city of Valencia which is only one hour and a half away. Valencia has its own airport and the low cost airline, Ryan Air is now providing regular flights to this quieter airport.
The main airport servicing this area has for a long time been Alicante, another lovely city to visit, which is just 50 minutes away from Benissa on the A7 motorway. Many airlines, such as Easyjet & Monarch Scheduled (which are the favourites for reasonable fares) fly into Alicante daily.
The hiring of a car is a must for getting to Casa Brisa and also for exploring this area, and it couldn’t be simpler. Just book a car through either www.victoriacars.com or www.mrcar.es (or one of the many other companies you will find on the internet for this area) and pick it up just outside the airport. It can be returned to the same place when you depart.
You would be sent extremely detailed instructions of how to get to us (very easy in fact) and you would find the drive along the motorway to be a pleasurable one, as the scenery becomes more and more attractive the closer you get to Benissa.
If you don’t like flying, you could always come down by ferry as we frequently do, and so bring your car with you. P&O Ferries go to Bilbao regularly, and Brittany Ferries sail to Santander on the north west coast of Spain. It is then a nine hour casual and interesting drive through Spain via the likes of Madrid (virtually non-pay motorway route) or perhaps you might be more adventurous and combine your holiday with a two centre stay or just stop at some of Spain’s fantastic Paradores (Hostals which are of a very high standard and are usually either in or near historical sites). Wonderful.
Whichever way you choose to get to Casa Brisa, I know that you would have a lovely, restful holiday.
